I’ve got a Cybertruck almost a year now, and I’m finding the cooling seats getting super weak, even on the highest setting. I can hear the fan noise, so the system seems to be working, but the cooling effect is barely noticeable. No seat covers or anything blocking the perforations. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah. It does seem pretty weak. Only notice it at all if I have the AC down real low and the cabin has had a chance to reach the desired temp. Sometimes enable rear HVAC even when alone just to help it out some.

Edit: Found this thread discussing it already. And here.

Only when I’m riding around with the AC on and the windows down. But when truck is at temp 69 inside, not just the setting but actually 69 ambient they perform well.

So the seats don’t cool they just blow ambient air through the seat … ie only ventilate but don’t cool . So the three bars means they just blow harder at three bars then one .
I have noticed very little air coming through ..

I think they suck, literally and figuratively.

Yep, the first link you provided has the answer: thread

The 'sucking in ambient air through the seat' explains why ppl notice it working better after the internal temps have gotten to the set temperature.

I wonder why they went this route. I feel like blowing cool air would be more effective at completing the task.

I am too...I haven't had the time but I'm hoping Munro covered this in the Cybertruck tear down videos.

My seats cool great, to the point my ass gets frost bit. I am not sure to what level of cooling expecting. I find seat cooling comfortable to point have to reduce level on longer trips.

Thanks for sharing!
I also have a refreshed Model Y, and its ventilated seats are way stronger than my Cybertruck. The Cybertruck's cooling is barely noticeable on max.
When did you get your truck? Any chance you can check if the seats are blowing or sucking air when cooling? Wondering if Tesla changed the seat design in newer builds.

Thanks for the input! Some users say their cooling seats work great, so I’m wondering if Tesla updated the seats in newer builds.
