YEP! Every time he makes a turn, or there is a bend in the road, you're hearing the creak we're all experiencing.

Supposedly someone in this thread is uploading a video of how they solved it by removing a panel on the back side of the driver's seat, applying silicone spray behind the panel, then re-installing. So far haven't seen any more than a somewhat-vague written description of this 'fix'.

I fixed it by removing the front panel of the center console, where I found one of the clip and guide pin locations mis-assembled. I added some felt tape while it was out and it’s been 4 days with zero creak. I won’t do a video, because it’s a pain to remove the panel and there is a risk I won’t get it back together “correctly” again.

To remove the front panel, start at the top middle and use a plastic trim tool to pry loose the two top clips. Then work down each side. The clips are extremely tight. The bottom of the panel has a clip about 1” up from the center floor on each side, but also has a feature that drops behind the floor, so can’t be pulled straight out. You need to angle the entire panel forward at about 45 degrees, release the clips, then pull up and out.

The issue I found was the 2nd from top passenger side alignment pin on the front panel, never seated in its corresponding slot on the console side body, so it forced that piece and nearby clip out of alignment. That interference would cause the panel to loosen and semi unclip from the other surrounding clips. Tesla had pink foam stuck behind some of those spots, which indicates a challenging assembly.

While the front panel was off, I added felt tape to the bottom of the panel, where it could potentially contact the floor or bottom sides of the console. Tesla had already added two strips of anti-rub tape to the lower edge on each side. Elsewhere higher up on the front panel, it is all plastic vs soft touch material, so no risk of noise.

For reassembly, I started by aligning and clipping the bottom two clips first. Then making sure both the alignment pins and clips were aligned before clipping the panel in working all the way to the top. When properly aligned, the force required to “clip” is -very- light. If you have to force, bang it with your hand, something is misaligned. Once seated, you can push on the top front corners of the console and it shouldn’t make a sound.

I posted earlier in this thread... same creak... I even uploaded a video of the sound when you push on it. Just pull the plastic off the console in the back. It is attached by clips. Look on the service for Cybertruck website and it shows you how. Then spray silicon on the clips and where the plastic hits the back. Close it up and no more creak.

I have the annoying creak in the center console and Tesla can't fix it. This is my 7th Visit since March to get this fixed. This is what Tesla updated me with today.

I requested a new center console, but they will not replace it. I guess I will have to try and fix it myself.

Thank you to the people who posted on how to fix it.

Ok I need to do this. Just started hearing it a few months in. It stands out because the ride is so quiet otherwise

We are not "all" experiencing the center console creaking. I'm very sensitive to creaks, rattles and other unwanted noises but my Cybertruck is creak and rattle free, even after 6 months of getting beat up on rough trails and roads.

My wife's 2024 Model 3 Performance has a slight dashboard creak that comes and goes with temperature and humidity. But our Cybertruck is rock solid sounding, even on rugged roads. When all someone has to complain about is a creak sound from the center console that can typically be fixed with a spray of silicone, you know it's a first world problem.

If you still have the annoying creak this is the fix!!

After about 7 months later, they were finally able to fix it! Show this to the service center if you plan on bringing the truck in. Tesla should post a bulletin for the service center techs. I hope this helps people out. I got this service done 3 weeks ago and wanted to wait to post, just incase the creak came back. All is well after 3 weeks, so it's safe to say it is definitely fixed!

This is going to drive me insane! Happens when I put pressure on the seat back, and when I release pressure, like accelerating and braking. My center console is pretty noise free. I think it’s coming from the seat back hinge?
