I have to disengage multiple times a trip because it's doing stupid navigation maneuvers. Why wont it stay in the HOV lane when it's clearly the right choice? Why would it exit the express lane only to reenter the normal highway lane which is clearly slower?
The lack of the computer to correctly,, reliably, and safely use the HOV lane is the most glaring FSD issue for us in LA and surrounding freeways.

It's actually hilarious that people defend this. It would be great to do as an option for hardcore FSD users who want to give a bunch of manual feedback. Changing how the truck works after purchase and requiring this extra manual input every single time you turn off FSD is ridiculous.

I also hate the "click to engage FSD" popup that started appearing at some point. Every single drive, it takes up half of the visualization area for 2 or 3 minutes before disappearing. So if you don't engage FSD, the bottom left side of your screen is blocked. If you do engage FSD and have to correct it (literally every drive for me, it's good but it cannot be trusted to park) you lose the cards on the bottom left of your screen indefinitely until you look down from the road and interact with the touchscreen.

This is such a laughably bad idea, because if I just disengaged, guess what? I'm driving manually. So now while driving manually, I have to take the time to interact with this pop up to see my trip cards, my media player, or the truck stats (I look at the height a lot since it's the easiest way to see what ride height I'm at without taking over the whole nav area).

Every time I go on the turnpike, I have to intervene in the same spot because the map data has incorrect speed limits. Why? at least remember that I disengage at this spot literally every drive.

Same thing when I get home, it will not pull into my garage. So every single drive, I have to disengage, and interact with that stupid popup.

It's just a bizarre way to make nothing about FSD better while making the user experience worse. In months they haven't fixed any of the map data issues no matter how many times I push that navigation button. So why would I want to be harrassed to keep pressing it? Last I checked, I own the truck, not tesla

You guys need to get a life. Just select a reason already. My only complaint is that the old voice recording system likely was more useful as the fixed selections don’t always cover all the reason for the intervention.

I find on the issue of going into my garage - if I intervene and then immediately activate FSD again the system will drive into my garage perfectly.

Also the cyberbeast will drive into my garage at night everytime but I have to do this two step process in the daytime.

On the selection of a route to a destination- let the system follow the route it calculates is the shortest - if you are one of these back road secret route sort of guys that won’t shut up giving unrequested directions from the back seat - just don’t use FSD - save $99 a month. The system does calculate the best route in terms of time and traffic- set the recalculate time down real low - that might fit your personality. But not likely.
To back into my driveway charger reliably I use the 2 step parking maneuver, which was suggested to me by Grok. I must approach the house from the side that has the garage entrance, I have to set the arrival to ‘pull over’, then when the car passes the driveway and starts to pull over to the house I QUICKLY press ’driveway’ and the Cybertruck immediately stops and goes into reverse into the driveway. Magic!

This thread is interesting. People want FSD to “do better” but are disinclined to press a button to allow for feedback for system learning. If you want more you should be pushing that button.

People don't like being unpaid beta testers. Is that hard to understand?

It is with FSD. Many of us have been testing far less capable versions for the last 6 years.

It's part of the deal with FSD, which is still likely years away from being unsupervised and likely will never drive in a way that makes everyone happy.

That said, I too hate the pop up.

I find simply click the Other bottoms does not bothers me at all. Just like you find yourself tapping your phone regardless of FSD active or not.

I don't think I have ever seen this before. Could you take a picture of it and post?

Yes. It's so much better to exit the express lanes into downtown and flip a u turn and get back on in the regular lane. You can even watch the eta jump 10min when it does this.

I also thought Tesla got rid of that, but its still there, I think you have to double tap the mic button on the steering wheel after the pop-up comes up. Then you get the normal 15 seconds to record....

I hope this helps,

Dan

I don’t use FSD anymore. When they fix this nonsense I might consider using it again.

- FS Beast owner. FSD is TERRIBLE right now.
