here's my personal Anecdote.

I have a Porsche Cayenne Hybrid (faster than a reg Porsche) and a Model Y and a Cybertruck.

I have both kids that went to college in Boston Area (555 mile round trip) - and we used to go CONSTANTLY to drop off pickup and visit.

None of us EVER wanted to take the Porsche despite being roomy, luxurious, etc.. DESPITE the fact that it had a much greater range.

Reason?

Long distances we HAVE to stop anyway for coffee, stretch, food... and the FSD or autopilot made the ride SO MUCH BETTER than the driving in a Porsche.

The Porshe has literally been sitting idle (2 gas visits in the last 14 months) and we actively have to take it for a spin to "keep it limber".

I know this is a radical statement, but I AM a car lover and two things are clear to me personally:

1. I will NEVER buy an ICE again (probably LOL)
2. I will ALWAYS consider a Tesla FIRST -

Reason: The Electronics and Charging Network are unbeatable.

German vehicles have CRAP electronics and GPS interface etc. Literal Garbage compared to Tesla.

12sec is very impressive. My wife was reading somewhere 0-60mph was closer to 3.9 sec.

I’ve heard that rumor too. I’ve been wanting to test that out as well as checking if Beast in sport mode is faster/slower/same as AWD. I have a good GPS device that measures all these things that can easily swap car to car. Anyone in DFW with an AWD want to meet at a drag strip some upcoming Sunday?

I have a cyberbeast and during a recent service received a cybertruck as a loaner (they are doing this a lot with FS cybertrucks).
Cyberbeast has Beast, Normal, Chill, and Custom. In order to do a comparison it would need to be put in Custom with sport settings.

Having driven both of them on highways and windy mountain roads (200+ miles on the loaner) I can say the software/suspension/power build is not the same between them. I can corner much harder and accelerate much faster (past 90mph) in the cyberbeast. Whether it is programing or real hardware for the most part I can not say but the difference is very real.

As I've previously said I never actually thought I'd get the cybertruck.
I purchased a 2021 Tacoma TRD-Sport stick shift and loved it. First thing in 2024 we replaced my wifes car with a ESX Rav4 Hybrid (top sport model). Late 2024 I ended up getting the cybertruck.
I 100% understand your comment. My Tacoma hardly gets used (it has bumpers, winch, nerf bars), I don't even want to wheel it over the cybertruck.
My wife keeps trying to steal my cybertruck because the technology is lightyears ahead of a 2024 high end RAV4 (I know its not a high end car). The automotive industry has basically fallen on its face and hasn't really improved its technology since 2010? 2015? its really pathetic.

Any loaner from Tesla is capped at 85 mph, that’s not indicative of what the AWD can do. You would have the same limitation if you were given a model S plaid as a loaner.

I too had a AWD CT as a loaner two weeks ago. I really enjoyed getting to see how the other half lives.
