Well, so much for the “there’s only one in the UK” assertions then. Could’ve sworn I saw a video talking about the impounding that had Yanni in the thumbnail, but admittedly, I didn’t watch it. Not a mystery I’m interested enough in to try and untangle. But it is curious, nonetheless. ?

I really like the Carwow dude.

One thing they didn’t call out in the video (unless if I missed it) is the fact that the CT AWD is on all terrain tires. Oh, and it’s not even the Cyberbeast, and it’s beating the G63. Also CB has a slightly higher top speed at I think 125mph so it would’ve done a little better in the 1/2 mile.

Agree. That would’ve been the more appropriate comparison based on vehicle price (excluding import taxes).

But, very cool to see the AWD easily beating a G-wagon (I really don’t understand the appeal of that car, especially given the price).

I mean it really would’ve dominated. Wouldn’t have been any race at all. Also, I’m sure they’ve got work with what they have. Curious that Yanni didn’t get a CB but I’m sure there are reasons.

I heard that the one that got impounded was registered in Albania. I see that this one also has Albanian plates. What's the deal with Albania ? Are they just happy to take foreigners' money to register unusual vehicles that don't have CoC in EU/UK ?

I second that. I don’t see the appeal for the G-wagon. It’s purely a status symbol. People don’t use it for its true purpose. It’s in line with Land Rover when it comes to off-road, but that’s it. The ride and handling is sub-par.
