My VIN is 9XXX, so I am a pretty early Beast. Maybe they've gotten more quiet, I have only been in my Beast. It is significantly louder than any other EV I have ever been inside. So maybe that answers the 2024 vs 2025 question from the OP.
My Beast is a 2024 FS, VIN in the 25k range. A friend here has one in the 16k range and it’s quiet too.

Maybe this answers the 9000 VIN vs 16000+ VIN question that was never asked.

My passengers in my truck have commented on the noise. When I showed my buddy the Beast for the first time, he said "I thought EVs were quiet" immediately after we started driving.

Talking inverter driven, and this is in practice (in the situations this pops up) and dyno proven on electric vehicles. Induction motors have a small delay in production of torque (along with a little inefficiency) where permanent magnet have the immediate production with a slight efficiency uptick (though have to always run).
system.
Yeah, agree with all that since induction needs to spool up the rotor field whereas PM is... well... permanent 😁
For rock crawling won't the motor be continually energized (and at a relatively constant speed (unless slip))?

There is lower current sent to each rear motor compared to one rear motor. A single rear motor of the Beast produces less power than the AWD rear motor.
Sure, and each motor only has half the power output (unless WOT), but the short term torque limit of the inductive versus PM is...
Unknown because:

Yeah... using HP there as it is simply a function of torque and rpm, and Tesla doesn't provide the actual torque or the motor. Two less powerful motors are used instead of one more powerful motor.
Yep, 😮💨

With rock crawling there are frequent moments where you're fully stopped and trying to get from zero to a few RPM in those motors. One of the areas where it will make a bigger difference. If you watch the temps while doing that, you'll see the induction motors get a lot hotter, quicker. Now if you're rock bouncing, the extra overall power would be nice (please nobody do that with a CT).

It is honestly a very niche situation where I'm sure less than a .001% of owners would actually care. Rock crawling, off roading, towing something heavy up a steep incline. And in all those situations the Beast can do all of them, it just is slightly worse at them due to the design. Once there is movement is above a few mph, the AWD advantage goes away.

But edge cases are so much fun to hash out!
(And likely require extensive instrumentation and senario setup to get valid data for a situation which the world will never reproduce)

I can help narrow it down for you:

AWD: Probably the quickest vehicle any of your passengers (or those who you let drive it) have ever been in. I prefer the AWD for it's edge on offroading and better range.

Beast: You should probably ask your passengers if they have any syncope/medical issues before you press the go-pedal.

2 people have said "comfort". What are you referring to?

Handling at high speeds is better, but comfort? I see no difference there.
Comfort meaning less weight and therefore less adverse effect on the suspension. As others have mentioned as well because of the FWD nature and motor placement of the CB there is at times a slight jarring "bump" you will feel on certain road conditions (at least i did in an early VIN model). Keep in mind - this is only something you'll notice if you've lived with both Awd and Beast, otherwise ignorance is bliss.

I'm big on comfort but I cannot for the life of me stand the look of the core wheels. They look so lame on the CT design to my eyes.

The AT's have always been shockingly comfortable, that's always been super impressive to me.
I used to be on the AT train, but I've grown to love the Core tires which are Pirelli bespoke tires for the truck as well. Love the design, comfort, and the grip (I drive canyons on my daily drives), it makes driving the truck in sport mode a lot more fun in the twisties.

When I start off roading I will look at the At's or something more aggressive again.

As far as wheel aesthetic goes - hands down the Cyber wheels underneath the aero covers is more aggressive and cooler than the Core wheels. However, aero covers vs aero covers - I have cooled on the Cyber wheels aero cover look.

Looking to buy a used Cybertruck.
Is the beast worth it?
2024 VS 2025?
Best place to find listings?

They are comparable. I have driven both / own a FSCT. In my opinion, unless you want a few less moments off the line the extra cost is not justified.

I suggest getting a CT with FSD. you'll save money and enjoy the features more.

AWD is plenty fast. I think it’s better to go Plaid on smaller form. If you’re gonna use it as a truck, quickness isn’t beneficial. Stability is better. I’m saving the dough for S or Roadster.

Really can't go wrong with either the Cyberbeast or the AWD. Test drive both, and choose the one to your liking.

Personally, I am an old school Jeep guy (currently have a JL 392,) and I like the configurations of predominantly rear-wheel-drive (on road) with mechanical front-and-rear lockers (off-road.) Therefore, I went for the CT AWD myself. However, I'd be as happy if I went for the CT Cyberbeast.

Beast-put your head all the way back on the head rest. 3-2-1 💥
I gave a 89 year old buddy on his last leg(died 2 months the later) a ride in the beast. I was worried about hurting him so we slowly built up to a full launch. Great memory!
