Not sure if this is a news, but I asked an AI in app (hamburger menu, then in the top right corner), and it told me that my estimated timeline is August 30 - November 8 2026. I ordered on Feb 21st. I tried to steer it into other directions to get an idea whether it's a hallucination or a made up timeline - but It stand ground and remained certain that it is based on their internal order and logistic systems

I am sure this is what you are seeing. I asked what I had ordered and the AI listed it out correctly as well.

Did similar a few weeks ago and it said between August and October. A few days later, it said 2027. I deleted the chat a few days later and now it's saying between August and November.

I got a similar reply with a 2027 estimate for delivery for a reservation made the morning of 2/23.
I agree with your assessment that it's a bunch of BS.

mine has been steady for 6/5-8/10 for a couple weeks now. Ordered on 2/20.

I have an RN of 1129XXXXX, I maintained it from the very beginning. I put in an order on 2/22. It tells me 2027 is the estimated delivery date.

RN of 1170XXXXX here, also ordered 2/22. The bot is also saying 2027. Other than date ordered, I think location is the 2nd most impactful variable.

I stopped by my local Tesla dealer just see if more info was available. I ordered on 2/21 with a June delivery. Bad news: 2027 is my new date. Good news: I got to test drive the truck for an hour. Now I’m really anxious to get this truck.

The good news is that the people working at the service center have no more information regarding estimated delivery times compared what the bot has access to, so this doesn't mean much.

Also, you should have asked for an overnight test drive. So much more time to get familiar with the truck.

Agreed. Makes me think like others have suggested, this will soon turn to a sales tactic to get those who ordered Basics to pay "just $10,000 more" to get Premium ASAP. Which would be a steal for Premium, although not too far from the previous low of $72,500 if eligible for tax credit. But back then it included other goodies too so might be on par.

I'd pay the difference if that was offered. I've contemplated upgrading to the Premium, but I only care about the sound system and I'm sure there will be upgrade paths aftermarket.

***Wonder maybe if the year and a half delay is the now retooling of the assembly line for the other products to get those out first?
