Do you think tesla would fix or replace this. It’s a new cybertruck I just got.
looks weird they are small little bends but from far away it looks worse.

You might want to try to see if they will. That does look kind of bad. I often catch a glare of my sail and think I see a bo in it but what ever. You’re does look worse though

It looks bent. It can't hurt to ask.

Do you have a view looking down the side of the vehicle? It's hard to tell what we are looking at from such a perpendicular view.

Just curious if you ran your hand over it and confirmed it's truly dented vs. it being a visual thing with the various colors of the stainless steel?

If you’ve got more than 100 miles, you may have a denial coming your way. But ask. And hopefully you took photos of this early. I agree with those who say that you probably should’ve rejected this one without documented agreement that they would repair this. These panels are likely going to have to be replaced

it’s really hard to get the right angle in a photo.
if you look straight on, it looks fine. It’s just from a far distance you can see it. I walked around the car day of delivery and everything looked good. It wasn’t until I parked it and came from a distance when I noticed it. You can see it like looking top down. But it’s really subtle bend

Yeah I’m at 120 miles. So hopefully they will still accept it. I did several walk arounds and didn’t notice it until it was parked far away.

You know, I found the same to be true. The weird thing about the stainless steel is that depending on the light conditions there are some things that you just cannot see. I know it’s the same on all cars but I’m pretty observant I have an eye for detail and depending on the angle and direction of the light some things (whether it’s ripples or even surface level smudges) simply become invisible and in other instances they stick out like a sore thumb!

Good luck! ?

*I learned my lesson about the 100 miles with my model S plaid because there was a couple of things that they simply refused to even consider fixing because I brought it in after I’d hit 250 miles.

Make sure everybody in your circle knows if they’re picking up a Tesla get pictures taken and upload them into the app before you hit 100 miles!!!

It’s in the paperwork and they don’t always tell you that upon delivery if you even get to talk to anyone. People used to taking delivery from Legacy dealerships and dealing with them walking the vehicle with you to complete what used to be called “green sheets“ (where they document issues and agree to fix them at a later date) are not aware of this!!

Yeah for some reason I thought it was under 200 miles! I didn’t know it was actually in the agreement for 100 miles.
Yeah just so hard to see. The picture below is the same exact spot. You just can’t see it. It’s just with the right lighting.
But they are probably just gonna say it’s within spec hahaha.

If it looks in real life like it looks in your photo, then I can't figure out why it wouldn't have been immediately apparent, from any angle or distance in real life, the minute it was presented to you. I mean, I've never seen a new Cybertruck look this bad.

Maybe the skeptic in me just thinks there's something funny going on. How hard is it to take two or three photos in daylight, from different angles looking down the length of the truck from both directions? They should be clear photos without heavy compression artifacts like your two previous photos have when enlarged.

Taking multiple clear photos from different angles, and posting them for all to see, is not very difficult these days.
