DOES NOT work. I had it set for 90 degrees, getting ready to do some running around and checked the truck. 131 degrees. No AC on, windows not opened. Anyone have any info on this issue?

Cabin overheat protection runs for 12h after you park, it doesn't pre-condition for a trip.

Yes, sometime during the day, start the remote cooling and then turn it off, that should reset the 12 hour timer.

I don't know why it is not 24 hours. There are places that it could easily be over 90 at night.

Here in South Florida Temps in my closed garage can reach 90 degrees. I have it set for 100 to minimize battery drain. Any reason you can’t set it to 100 degrees?

If it's going to hit 90, it's going to hit 110 in a few minutes.

I think all the Tesla models have the same overheat timer. I agree, if the vehicle is plugged, it should be able to moderate if set overheat without timeout, if desired. Maybe in a future update there will be more options.

checked it this am, the on/off icon was still high lighted in blue. Does that mean is was still on? I only thought about after turning it off and back on again...patience is not a virtue i possess.

It used to work when you turned it on and it kept it on. Now it just doesn't work at all. Haven't see it change temp since last upgrade.

The toggle to enable or disable cabin overheat protection in the app has no bearing on it being currently active in the truck. If it's enabled then the truck will try and maintain the set temp for 12h after exiting the vehicle or until you hit 20% battery. I don't know if toggling the setting would reset the 12h timer or not.

They set this limit because it would heavily tax your battery and A/C system if it ran nearly 24/7. Cabin overheat is meant to be used intermittently; best practice is to get it out of the sunshine for long term parking.

I noticed mine does not seem to activate, as prescribed, also recently… possibly since a recent software update…?

or maybe it just ā€˜works differently’ than before… which would be worthy of some sort of release not mention at the very least …
