Can’t make it to my delivery day what do I do?

I just got notifying. My cyber truck will be available beginning of next week, but they are only giving me two days to schedule for delivery. I am out of town and won’t be back for another two weeks. Did anybody ever run into this problem? What options do I have? I really don’t want to miss out on getting the beast.

Bottom line first: I think that within limits you can change scheduling and delay delivery until a more convenient time.
Here’s my story: I was traveling from S. ill. To OBX, NC. when VERY unexpectedly I received a note that my CT was ready when I completed the steps for delivery.
I posted here wondering if it was a scam. I was assured it was legit, but because I was traveling, I didn’t respond to the Tesla text.
I received a second text but didn’t respond to that. As I was settling in to our lodging on OBX, I received a call from Nevada and talked to an actual rep. After explaining my situation that I was on vacation and wouldn’t be able to move funds, get insurance etc. until 7/2, the rep said he would put my reservation on hold until then.
Driving home 6/29,I received a call from a rep who said I could pick up my CT that afternoon 6/29 at 5:00 pm. After determining the rep was in St. Louis, MO, I explained that I was in North Carolina and it would not be possible to pick up the CT that afternoon. We laughed out loud when the rep said , “So you’re not in Missouri?” I explained again that I wouldn’t have the necessary funding and insurance until 7/2.
when I got home. The rep said he had to deliver the CT that day by 5:00 (it was 2:00)!
He said he would put me next in line for for their SC In St. Louis. When I arrived home 7/1, I moved $, confirmed insurance, and went back to the app. The steps included making payment, proof of insurance, etc. I sent a photo of our proof of insurance, and within 2 hours was notified I could pick up our CT, VIN XXX the following Saturday, 7/6 at 1:30 at the SC In Chesterfield, MO!
We did, and have enjoyed it immensely! Fit, finish, everything just fine! So, in our case, we were able to change arrangements and it only caused a delay of a little over a week. Hope that works for you!

REALLY, is Tesla so hard up for cash they can’t offer “a Little” compassion for customers that have “Faithfully” have waited for over 4 yrs for there CT!
I understand most SC don’t have storage lots to inventory vehicles but hell, there is life outside of Tesla and shit ? happens and exceptions need to be considered for Customers.

Long shot, but maybe Could try your luck and pick the furthest day out, and then tomorrow reschedule for the next further date out, rinse and repeat until you able.
Hopefully, that will work. I got notified on June 24 that my CT was ready for delivery. They told me I could pick it up on the 29th or 30th. I was out of town that week and I wasn't planning on coming back until the next week. I contacted the center, but they wouldn't let me pick it up before I left town or after the 30th. I assumed it was because of the end-of-quarter numbers, but that doesn't fit in this case.

They told me that if I didn't get it now, I would go back on the list and that I should remain at the top. I didn't want to risk it so I changed my plans and returned early. What really irked me was that they weren't ready on time, and the delivery was a complete disaster. We were scheduled for delivery at 4 pm and we didn't get out until 7. However, this was at the Jacksonville SC and it has horrible management.

I definitely wouldn't recommend signing the final paperwork until you inspect the vehicle.

Pay with a credit card, that way you can dispute charges if you don’t take delivery. Or tell your SC I will happily take delivery of it ?
Tesla doesn't allow you to purchase a vehicle with a CC. I wish they did because I would have gotten a ton of points with my AmEx! :)

So I spoke to Tesla and they were able to place my order on hold they will give away my current vin car and after the hold will get assigned a new vin. Thanks for all your help everyone. Wonder how long it will take to get assigned a new vin does anyone have any insight?
