That why I say park in the garage for back up use only. At the end IRS will see very small milage to justify that.
Woof. Be very careful with that my man. The IRS does not fuck around in the gray areas…. ?

Interesting, i'm 97 days and no VIN and considering cancelling simply because i'm sick of waiting.

They could not apply the $1000 toward the model Y or you did not pursue this?
I had the same thought and asked but was told they weren't able to accommodate the request.

$1000 out of pocket actually.

I was in the same boat as you but I decided to keep the truck and this is my plan:

Drive the truck for a month or so to see if I like it at the end or not, if I like it I will keep it.

If not, I will just park it in my garage as back up power and claim 30% tax credit next year. Then sell the truck back to Tesla for whatever mileage I droved for the first month next April before the non resale period ends . At the end I will end up about 20K net profit for parking the truck in my garage for a year.
Thanks - funny how the $100 spent in 2019 actually felt like a payment at this point LOL

What I interpreted is the battery has to be bolted down to the house and can't physically move. They didn't want F-150s to quality. You can try to get away with it and probably can since IRS is slammed.

Tesla has no obligation to buy your truck back. Its just a bs offer and a forum member has already been denied when he asked for a buy back
Tesla has no obligation, but it is the process. Once Tesla declines, and the other terms are met, then the owner is free to sell on the open market.

open market is the crux of the problem. Once pent-up demand is met, even the non foundation truck will be discounted like every other tesla model. 14k+ employees terminated tells me tesla knows ev demand is cooling and is pulling levers to keep the business profitable.
Open market is where we all live. Depreciation after taking delivery of a new automobile is standard. Flipping a new vehicle for a windfall is a rarity.

Tesla customers are the most demanding and whiney customers there are, sometimes warranted

Obvious you do not own the Cybertruck or any Tesla. Trust the demand is not cooling but relatively hotter than it's ever been. Soooo many non ev owners have been asking me about ev. The demand is there. But the market for all items are cooling for right now. It is not just Tesla. It's retail in general.
