Can't log into YouTube music

This is probably not a common issue but with the new update bringing YouTube music I was excited to finally not have to Bluetooth stream all my music. The problem I'm having is that my account that has all my music history is a "brand" account and I can't log into it. The account basically has two profiles, the "owner" profile that I've never used and the "brand" profile that i use constantly everywhere else. When I log in it defaults to the "owner" profile with no apparent way to switch. In the YouTube app I can switch no problem but the YouTube music app that option just isn't there.

I can't log into the "brand" profile directly because it doesn't have an independent email or password.

Anyone have any ideas on how to either switch accounts or transfer my music history?

Same thing here. I had a brand account that I used to separate my normal YouTube from YouTube music. I just went ahead and used my main owner account though.

My guess is the only option you're going to have to maintain separation is if you have a Google family plan and you create an additional Google account and add that to your family plan and log in using that for YouTube music.

I don't care about maintaining separation, I just don't want to have to reteach it what music I like. My owner account I literally never use and I don't know how I ended up with a brand account.

ah ok. Hmm, yeah not sure of a way to migrate music history. My guess is only Google support could do such a thing, if they would even be willing to.

I'll have to try talking to them I guess.

Not sure, but have you tried logging in on the regular browser first?.

I know most all of the other services do allow logon in the app.

I haven't tried using the web browser but I wouldn't think it would make a difference. I haven't used it much but when I have it hasn't saved anything between sessions even when I only went to a different app for a few seconds.
