I received a recall letter this week from Tesla saying my CT cantrails need to be replaced. Can someone here tell me exactly where the cantrail is?

The reason I ask: I had brought the CT to the service center in May for a few recall items, including what they described on the invoice as replacement of the sail panels. I know they replaced the black plastic panels alongside the bed, along with the black plastic cover atop the tailgate. They also replaced the stainless pieces that run above the side windows from the A pillar. The invoice did not reflect that work (unless they considered it part of the sail panel replacement), although I am sure it was done because I had them take it back to fix the misalignment.

Please correct me if I am confusing cantrails with sail panels or some other exterior pieces.

The contrails are the stainless pieces above the windows that form the “point” of the Cybertruck.
That is what I thought. I am positive those were replaced during the same visit as the sail panels. I suspect the issue is that because the cantrail work was not included on the invoice, there’s no record of that recall work being done.

Mine was done twice prior to the newest recall of a studded rail, the previous two times they replaced and reglued only. This newest and hopefully final recall will be the stud that they probably will complete.

If you look at your cantrail a huge portion of the new recall ones have a visible circle where the bolt is now welded to it (mine has it - and I hate it, but that's a different thread) - look towards the very front probably 3-4 in from the edge, you may have to look at an angle to see it.

I would not be in a hurry to get this done. Some of the work coming back is shoddy with misalignments. Mine are in fine shape and I don’t plan to visit service anytime soon. As mentioned, there are a host of threads on the issue.

They tried to replace mine, I told them hell no. I haven't had any issues so why, not to mention the re-wrap!
Probably a good thing it wasn't an airbag recall then, huh? Tesla isn't replacing the Cant rails as a money making thing. It's for safety. Other people are out there on the road with us. I had my rails done and can't tell other than they are aligned a little better than the original ones. I get that at least one person here had a bad experience but I'd bet most don't. I mean, EVERY Cybertruck made now has the new rails.

I'm gonna wait out on this recall while wiggle check my cantrails weekly.

This! I am capable of checking if I am experiencing any such issues. I will instantly put in a service appointment.

Just got the truck back from a full HVB replacement.
