Changing city/state delivery story and delivery timing

Hi Everyone,

Is anyone aware of evidence of changing delivery point and the timing to receive their truck? I am in TN and would be taking delivery at Knoxville or maybe Chattanooga. I took delivery of my model S, years ago, in Marietta, GA. I am currently slated for late 2024 for a Cyberbeast delivery. Would changing delivery point possibly make a difference in timing? I assume not, but I figured it was worth asking. I've waited 4.5 years, what's a few more months?

Yes. I changed my delivery location on Friday morning, and had a VIN assigned less than an hour later. My PowerShare rep is the one who mentioned this to me, as two of his other customers did the same. The only reason to do this would be if your assigned delivery location isn’t getting many, if any trucks yet. When I went into my local Council Bluffs Iowa location, 15 minutes from my house in Omaha Ne, they said they wouldn’t be doing any Cybertruck deliveries until they move into their new location In July.

Like I said, I’m located in Omaha. Changed delivery location to Kansas City. Order day was March 13th. Duel motor.

From what I've seen here on the forum changing your delivery location can help, but only if it's to certain California or Texas locations. Anywhere else it doesn't seem to matter.

Also I'm in Knoxville and got my VIN today. About a week ago there were 10 Cybertrucks sitting at the service center. So it seems we are finally getting a stream of deliveries.

I watch that VIN post like a hawk, just for any updates on folks from TN getting VINs. I sure hope TN starts getting more deliveries.

Well, late 2024 (whatever that range is) is still a good bit of time away, but it’ll be here before I know it. I think I saw some people that place and order after me were saying that their delivery time was Nov/Dec 24, so I would assume (I know what assuming will get me) my delivery is ahead of that, depending on location of course.

When did you configure you order?
You do realize that Cyberbeast orders are significantly delayed over the AWD?
There are many hundreds if not thousands of outstanding Cyberbeasts orders in California and Texas as well as the rest of the country that are waiting for a VIN number that configured their orders in early December of 2023.
So, if you configured your order after December of 2023, you should expect you Vin assignment to be late 2024 regardless of location.

All you said was that you were in TN, which is 550 miles wide, so it's hard to gauge which of the 4 TN delivery centers that your be at, be again, it's in the app.
It was about 10 days ago that I saw nearly a dozen hiding in Knoxville, waiting for the recall to be completed.

But the big question is, when did you order? Not reserve, order your vehicle?
They are still working on December and early January deliveries right now.

I will be honestly surprised/thrilled if it were to arrive in the November/December timeframe.

My Beast order in NY was for mid to late 2024. I received a VIN last Sunday, which might not even be classified as "mid" yet depending on how you want to define the term. I hope my experience is the same as other people and their VIN assignments come sooner than expected.

As for my conspiracy theory? I ordered the cleaning kit for the CT from Tesla and then 2 days later got a VIN. I'm not sure if that order made them think I was serious about buying or it's coincidence... but I didn't have a VIN before I bought my first CT accessory and then I had a VIN right after.
