A few days ago when I plugged my truck into the mobile charger (which was plugged into a NEMA 14-50 in my garage) the truck wouldn’t charge and gave me the error code above. The light at the charging port was blue.

I had to unlock the charge port in the app to pull the cord and tried again - same result. Disconnected again and from the wall to “reboot” the charger and still no. Took it to a supercharger and it charged up fine.

searched this forum for that code and no results.
The owners manual says to try a different charger and to inspect the one for debris etc. it’s a bit dusty but not enough to cause a connection issue. The light in the mobile charger block is green once plugged into to the wall.

Any suggestions?

The blue light at the charging port typically indicates that the truck recognizes a charger is connected and is preparing to charge, but since it’s not actually charging and throwing an error code, something’s interrupting the process. The green light on the mobile charger suggests it’s powered and operational, so the issue might not be the charger itself—at least not obviously. Since it charged fine at a Supercharger, the truck’s charging hardware seems functional, pointing the finger back at the mobile charger setup or the connection at home.

You’ve already done some solid troubleshooting: rebooting the charger, checking for debris, and testing an alternative (the Supercharger). The NEMA 14-50 outlet is a common setup for EV charging, but there could be an issue with the outlet, the plug connection, or the mobile charger’s compatibility with your truck under your specific conditions.
Here are a few things to try or check:
  1. Inspect the NEMA 14-50 Outlet: Even if the charger’s light is green, the outlet might not be delivering power correctly. Look for signs of wear, burning, or looseness in the plug fit. If you have a multimeter, test the voltage (should be ~240V across the hot legs). A loose connection or faulty breaker could cause intermittent issues.
  2. Cable and Connector Check: Beyond dust, ensure the pins on both the mobile charger and the truck’s port aren’t bent or damaged. A slight misalignment might prevent a proper handshake between the truck and charger.
  3. Power Draw or Grounding Issue: Some chargers are sensitive to grounding problems or power fluctuations. If your garage’s electrical setup is older, it might be worth having an electrician verify the wiring and grounding of the NEMA 14-50.
Worst case, if the outlet and charger check out but it still fails, it could be a subtle defect in the mobile charger itself.

Hey, mine did the same thing (after the 2025.2.9 update, which may not be relevant) . I ended up wiring in the wall connector that was on the shelf waiting for Powershare and that worked.
I found one YouTube video from long ago with the same type of issue where water got in the switch on the handle.
Going to take it (mobile connector) in to get replaced soon.

My Mobile connector just did this after arriving to my destination at 15% SOC.
I was 99mi from a supercharger and commector would not become recognized at any point. Reboots, resets etc.

I was able to coast into town from a higher elevation the next morning. FLO charger CCS1 with a A2Z adaptor worked. If it hadn't I'd of needed a tow truck and a long tow to a service center.

For this reason I now recommend getting a second level 2 option. First failure in 6 years. Amd at the worst time.

Rare you'll find one on a shelf. Why you can't accept the connector I'll never know but its super unfortunate and support on this is almost nonexistent.

Interesting. Have you used this mobile connector before to test it?

I have used mine a few times when I accidentally charged my truck to 100% and decided to just charge up the model 3 off the bed outlets just to burn off the truck juice back to 80%. When my PCS failed, at first thought maybe my 3 year old wall connector went bad, broke out the mobile charger and same errors, “charge equipment not providing power” I was unable to use any method of AC charging, went to hotels and get the same error there so I put in a service ticket and they said PCS was toast.
