I can’t remember what I was reading or watching, but I feel like it was the service manual. Those clips look liked they were on tight because they were using an airbag expander to pop off that trim piece. I wonder what the point of failure is.
If it becomes slightly loose, enough for the wind to get under it... well, there's your airbag o_O

Have to be very candid to post pictures of missing nuts.
I shall be known as the nutless wonder, but it appears we are all missing our nuts

Sorry for your ‘loss’. From these pix I do not see where the missing bolts should be. Maybe just the phone screen size? Oops I read it wrong, missing nuts.

Price shouldn't matter to him, as this is clearly on Elon to replace at Tesla's cost. Product defect and warranty claim.
The argument could be made that you can't prove that it's a manufacturing defect when it's not there. But I agree they should cover it. But will they?

Don't disagree that an argument can be made, but that's arguably always true.

Here, though, the combination of the age of the vehicle, the multitude of reports of owners having the same issue and what I understand to be a pretty solid post-purchase Tesla customer service mentality, and I'm pretty sure no such argument will be made . . . and I'm even more confident it couldn't be persuasively made.

I'll be following the thread to see how it plays out, too. Fingers crossed for a prompt and fair result.

I gotta think they’ll replace it. That being said, I also believe the few bucks I give homeless peeps on the street are actually used for food so there’s that…..

Thanks for sharing. I just checked mine and none of them have nuts attached to the bolts however after tugging on the trim, it seems to me the trim is not using the threading as an attachment method. I could be wrong. 🤷‍♂️

However I tried to lift the plastic trim from these rectangular holes. It felt like the trim may be attached by clips on the below the plastic piece. I hammered it with my fist along the trim and sounded like a few more clips attached compared to before. It also feels more solid after tugging on the trim again from the rectangular holes.
