Having problems plugging in your charger? How about at a supercharger; do you have to try multiple times to get it to connect? How about your charging speeds; are they sometimes way too low?
A highly likely culprit to your problem is the accumulation of dust and corrosion in your charge port.
This has baffled me for about a month now because I was experiencing all of these problems randomly. I blamed everything else. But I bought a can of CRC electric parts cleaner and applied it liberally inside my charge port. Then I used a number of Q-tips to scrub and wipe out the dirt. All of the issues mentioned above have been solved, so far.

My charge-port pins seem to be in good shape, but I've been making a point of cleaning under the door, particularly along the seal, so that the whole area stays pretty clean.

PRO TIP: do not attempt to clean while charging :ROFLMAO:

Interesting
Was considering a few UWCs via eBay and asked for the seller to post a photo of the inside of the charging head, most ducked me
They don’t want to show that

I suggest always looking at one charging handle prior to plugging in. Over the years I have found missing pins, gum, Skittles, and the weirdest was two toothpicks.

agree, esp with the pro gas vehicles and anti EV sentiment by the general masses
we can expect vandalism, such gum in the charging port, negatively affecting our vehicles
sad

but we are seen as earth caring disruptors, they hate change
EVs will win over the long term
we have to save the earth
