It does have Wi-Fi because when I first got it, I had it connected to my Wi-Fi and then it updated the system. So it is connected to a Wi-Fi. I don’t know if the Wi-Fi is connected to the charge port, apparently not according to you.

You are correct that your wall connector is connected to wifi, however the function for the handle itself to open the charge port door when you click the button is indeed low signal broadcast that is picked up by a reciever in the truck.
