Confirmed, Model 3 key cards work with the Cybertruck

This might seem kind of obvious to everyone, but I wanted to try to use my model 3 key card for both vehicles, without having to wonder which key card is for what vehicle.

The reason for this is that I already took time and modified my model 3 key card and I was hoping to keep using it.

I was able to take my registered model 3 key card to pick up my cyber truck and was able to successfully register it AGAIN on the Cyber truck. I understand these cards are just simple near field tags, so I guess the system doesn't know that you registered it on another vehicle.

I was very happy about this, I am now able to use a single key card to open up both vehicles and drive them. I don't like using my phone because I have found that it is inconsistent.

Interesting, if they are just near field tags I wonder if they could put put into other things besides a card, like a watchband for instance.

Having no key and using my phone exclusively has been one of the best experiences of owning my Model 3 for the last 5 years. I would love to register my stainless truck card to both vehicles but would never want to use it exclusively. In fact, I absolutely hate it when I rent one. Have you tried to sort this out? Every great once in a while it won’t open on the first try, but for me, I just click the side button on the side of my phone through my pocket and it does the trick. - I am also a fellow aviator.

What happened? Are you sure you were placing in the correct place and following the instructions?
They truly are all the same cards between the Cybertruck, Model 3 and Model Y.

Add keycard, tells me choose between app and card, I tap my card to the charger area and nothing…I’ll try a different key card.

All my 2020 MY cards work with my CT, and my CT cards work with both of our MY's.

We have all cards paired with all cars.

BTW, they do have keycards with CT graphics on them. I was initially given 'regular' keycards and the SC was able to get me my CT keycards.

Aviation? I doubt it. Card Keys have certificates in them that often restricts their use.
