Does the alignment get done with the ride height in low? How much negative camber does Tesla call for? Seems like in low mode they have too much negative camber, but I’m guessing Tesla does this to keep the truck stable and is ok with sacrificing tire life.
It is performed at medium. I performed a sweep of the camber/toe change and didn’t see anything alarming. I’ll see if I can find the chart and share it here.

it’s also important that they perform the ride height calibration step or all of the alignment exercise is all for not.

note: camber/caster is not adjustable today, however shims could be used to modify if required.

It seems like the alignment should be performed in low, since the truck puts itself in low when doing highway speeds. Majority of tire wear will happen at highway speeds.

I’d be curious to see how much -camber it has in low. Maybe -2 degrees or more?
That makes sense to me. The bulk of the driving in general is in low.

Good to know, thanks!

I'm at the service center for the cantrail recall and getting an alignment done. Just read through the service manual and there's a lot of steps to deal with the suspension (at least to a layman like me).

I just hope the tech does the alignment properly and according to the manual. FWIW, the service advisor said they set suspention to 'low', so hope his knowledge isn't what the tech does.

For others wondering about alignment check vs alignment: $130 for the check and $275 for the alignment.

When I scheduled it, originally, the same service advisor said there isn't an alignment check; just an alignment. But when I checked in, I asked about the check and the same advisor looked it up and quoted me the $130 price.

0.6 hours if no adjustment is needed.
1.26 hours if adjustment (front and rear toe) is required.

Fyi, the labor times posted in SI are not realistic, they are BS!
That’s what my service advisor has told me in the past (during one of my previous appointments back in March). He said they’re always working with HQ to update the FRTs

For anyone interested, here are my alignment before / after results. It was done on a Hunter alignment machine.

My truck has a little over 5,000 miles before the alignment, and it was my first alignment since getting the vehicle 6 months ago.

Where did you get it done? I didn’t get a printout with my alignment done at Tesla. But it must have been way off the fronts were bald and the rears had plenty of life.

Got it done at Tesla....but I made sure to tell my service advisor that I wanted the before/after print out, so he put a note on my service so the tech would do so.

So it looks like the same machine as other shops based on the printout. I really want to get a lifetime plan at Firestone. A bit concerned about it being more involved than other vehicles.

Yeah, I'm a fan of the Hunter alignment machines (and the Hunter Road Force for tire balancing)...but caveat is: I'm a "fan" purely based on researching alignment machines 10+ years ago. For example, I've heard their Road Force product isn't worth it (for a consumer or a shop to invest in the machine) but again it was just one data point.

My concernt using Firestone or somewhere else to do the alignment on the Cybertruck is: they won't know the correct procedure and suspension height setting to set it to for the alignment.

After reading what mondo posted, I realized it takes the alignment tech the knowledge to know how to go into and use the service menu.

For me, I'll be sticking with Tesla for alignments...but I also know they can screw it up too. All depends on the experience and how much the tech cares to get the alignment right.

Even when comparing my results to the Tesla service manual, some values are on the edge of out of spec (if I'm reading the service manual correctly).

Those readings wouldn’t fly in my shop. 1st, the machine should be set up to display in degrees and minutes (60 min = 1 degree) and the only the toe is adjustable. The rear looks close but I would have taken it to 0 min of thrust.

The front is bizzare, why send out that sloppy. Sorry, but they have to do better.

Yeah, I was wondering about the front. It didn’t seem right compared to the service manual specs. Thanks for your thoughts…wished you were in the Boston area!
