I agree. sorry, I should have clarified that I was wondering if the new service bulletin, which the SC did not bring up to me, would have any bearing on the side seals sticking out.
the SC called me back saying the side seals sticking out is not a problem on newer production vehicles because they're missing the seals entirely. they also messaged me later when I asked them about the new service bulletin and said it doesn't apply to my VIN.
