True! But having a Beast of Power to drive over a huge Pile of Zombies! With AWD, you could get stuck and might not have enough power to conquer a LARGE HORD!!??
Personally, I wouldn’t want to get stuck? with lack of power! ??
? The AWD has plenty of power to get over dead pile of zombies! ?

Hi guys my name is John and i am new to the forum. I have an order placed from April 17th 2025 for a CB and the truck should be here soon. I need your guys imput please on the CB vs AWD as i can't really find to much info on which is better for daily driving. Let me put it this way when i placed my order i was really interested in the Free supercharging as i commute about 200 miles every other day for work some highway driving and city driving (i am involed in restate development / construction) Since i placed the order about a month ago the awd didn't have free supercharging but now it does the FS AWD and after reading a lot on here about the differences i am stuck now. Most of you are saying AWD is a better drive over the Beast. I come from a Ram TRX and that was my daily 41k miles in 1.4 years i drove it a lot. Engine went out at 38k miles (replaced under the warranty and sold the car right after) so i decided to go ev since my wife has the model y and i am liking it a lot. The discounts are great on CT right now the CB i ordered is 107k and I've been looking at AWD for $72000 with no incentives. Or should i just look at the FS AWD with all incentives. By the way i am also looking into the leasing option as i got some terrible financing rates of %10 percent. With that said let's not forget I'll be driving over the miles. Did my calculation I'll be at a $7500 in extra miles after 36 months. The money line question for me is if you guys are willing to give me your opinion is should i stick to the CB or AWD because its not enough to justify the differences. Also al most forgot to add my electrical panels are full capacity i am already charging a model y at home and going the CB route i will get that power wall with my order. What do you guys think and i want to thank you for reading my post God Bless.
If you can afford to part with the money, get the beast. Main selling point is acceleration.

??? me too, made me want to be a teenager again when I was in high school going out just to find someone to race! ? but then realized I'm in my 40's with a family and perfectly content with my AWD.

With a Cybertruck?
Are you talking about the first or second picture? Cause my Cybertruck will only be going ‘off road’ like the second picture. ?

Side thought: anybody else try extract mode? Cause I tried it in a parking lot and it was bouncy as hell! Can’t imagine it’s practical in any situation.

I went with the AWD as I wanted mechanical locking differentials front and rear (and since it seems to matter for some, had nothing to do with affordability).

The CB has a virtual locker for the two rear motors that sounds more like torque vectoring and not actually acting like a locker. I dont want wheels acting independently of each other when I am expecting all wheels to move in lock step with each other regardless of traction.
Exactly one of the reasons I went with the AWD, had nothing to do with my bank account there's plenty there, but there's some guys that think it's the reason. I don't get that.??‍♂

No, it doesn't. Sorry. This has been tested extensively by Tesla...

OK, I get it. My replies are obviously considered a bit lower than "chopped liver" in this thread...

When there is a wall 300-zombies deep in front of you, you will wish you had three motors and 850-Hp to plow through them all. Range don't mean squat if you can't escape the Horde in the first place...

Sir, it’s not 850, it’s 845. And no, I wouldn’t want 245 more hrsprs, I’d want something that goes brrrt. ?

This is insane. Tested by tesla? What!
Everyone knows Musk is quite eccentric, and very forward looking.

This is reportedly one of Tesla's testing sites:

What do you think the Tesla flame thrower was originally designed for?

Hint: Zombies burn...

If you can afford to part with the money, get the beast. Main selling point is acceleration.
If you want acceleration, drive a Model S Plaid.

The Cyberbeast is quaint by comparison.

The main selling point is acceleration? What other selling point is there? I guess one could claim torque vectoring but, realistically, I'm not sure how often most people would even notice it.

The Beast Payload capacity is over 200 lbs. less. The efficiency is slightly lower. It's Front Wheel Drive while cruising, it costs a lot more, and it lacks the mechanical rear locking differential of the Dual Motor. Plus, the Dual Motor is lighter for off-road conditions that benefit from being lighter.

I could buy 100's of Cybertrucks without going into debt but I would choose the Dual Motor every time. At least for me, it's not at all about money (although everyone still likes a good deal). If a person has the inclination, and can afford it, it makes sense to have more performance for kicks on a sporty car like the Model 3 or Model S Plaid, but on a truck? Not so much, the Dual Motor has appropriate power levels (more than appropriate really) for a truck. Heck, I feel like I'm abusing the All-Terrain tires enough (especially the ones with the 3 Peak/Snowflake) with the Dual Motor power.

Yeah, it's prettty sporty for a truck, but it's still a truck. I'll take the lighter weight, higher payload capacity and rear locker over insane acceleration. Coming from an F-150 with a naturally aspirated V-8, the Dual Motor is all it takes to spoil me with power (and if I want more speed I'll get in my Performance Model 3). I would be more likely to buy a Plaid Model S before a Beast, I just don't have anywhere to park it.
