I had a 2023 Model X Plaid, so I can tell you a few things. The truck feels very solid and somewhat more refined then the Model X. Mostly due to the ambient lighting at night, better steering wheel (and button turn signals which is better!), better stereo system, less road noise, and the suspension seems better as well.

The Beast launches as well as the Plaid X from a stop, and feels just as powerful all around to about 70mph. After 70mph it is no where near as fast as a Plaid on a highway pull which is just fine, it's still plenty fast. But on a Plaid, the extra almost 200hp is clearly for 70mph+ because the Beasts 845hp is the same experience under those speeds as mentioned.

Overall, it's a much better vehicle than the X imo, especially because it doesn't creak and rattle when turning due to those weird falcon doors. The body is very rigid and the whole thing feels like a metal tank.

I have a love/hate relationship with the X. The 2016 S is simply a better built machine. Feels more substantial all around. The speed and tech in the X is amazing.

I was under the impression that it was the white interior that would slow down your build…. Is it in fact the grey? I’m good either way so if that’s the case I have no problem switching for the possibility of getting my beast sooner

I went gray and all terrain. I have seen the chatter that gray might slow down delivery but I felt strongly about that over the white. I was more uncertain about the all terrain vs all season because I won’t have it off road much.

I ordered the all terrain. I am debating switching to the all seasons. I live in NY. I would like to take it on the beach and/or off road on occasion but I know I won’t do that often. I like the look of the AT better but a bit concerned how they will perform day to day road/highway driving. Also don’t know how the AT perform in the snow. I read in a post in this forum that the AS are better in the snow vs the AT. I was surprised by that.

I think this sucks that trimotor ( beast ) was supposed to be the first trim released yet the reality is you pay more to wait longer

What if in late ‘23 Tesla didn’t have the proper supply line and testing completed for Beasts to open the tap for the initial mass production run? Should they have not released the AWD version and waited another 6 months for initial deliveries? Is that the decision you’d have made as CEO?

I went from a ‘21 to a ‘24 MX and the difference is notable. It was a very nice ride before but the upgraded displays, stalkless wheel, ventilated seats with active noise reduction, and ver 12.4+ FSD is incredible. There is no creaking from the falcon doors. The only negative so far is the driver’s door doesn’t open fully as you approach it but I know eventually they will have the OTA to upgrade that. Just like they just turned on the automatic trunk opening if you have your phone in your pocket and stand there for a few seconds.

I I wouldn’t , that doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck for beast owners

They have been building white dashed FS models for months. The grey FS is about to start. Hopefully it will not be the same color as the non-FS series.

Damn..... Sitting at my desk in Westbury NY as I type this and while I'm super happy for you It blows my mind I don't even have a VIN with my 12/28 order. Congrats!!! I think my delivery location is Smithtown due to my home address. Hopefully soon.

Though I just checked, and I can still edit my beast order. I wonder if it's got to do with all these transport issues we're hearing about since we're on opposite sides of the country.

This has to be a logistics issue of getting newly built trucks to NY…. Especially if there is a 2/27 LA Beast being delivered….
