Sorry for being the party pooper - I just switched to AWD for several reasons. Beast will still be my dream car once I’m ready to buy one more Cybertruck. I have convinced myself that I got to earn a Beast though I can afford it ??. See you all on the other side! ?

After all of this research, it makes me wonder just why and am curious of at least a few of the deciding factors you used, especially after your post linked below.

Was it no need for the PowerShare, light bar, AT tires, included FSD or other accessories in the FS?

My factors are very specific to my requirements. I’m going with FS AWD. The vehicle will be for business use on my farm. Payload is important to me, even 250 lbs count. I’ll also be writing it off on taxes. I cannot justify to IRS on why I need a performance model for the business if audit happens, though some would say they don’t care. I’ll be technically lying. I could also use extra range as I’ll be drawing from CT outlets while working on the field. If the truck was for 100% personal use, hands down I’ll buy Beast at a heartbeat. Hope I buy one in 3-4 years. I’ll have to earn the Beast. Meanwhile, I’ll stick to my Ducati to quench my urge to speed ?.

My CPA just told me that if I really want Beast, I can do 80-20 or 70-30 split between Business and Personal. This year you can write off 60% of vehicle cost. It’s 40% for 2025. That’s why I need the vehicle delivered this year!

I don’t know whether I’ll get Beast before end of year if FS order triggers today! Oh boy, I have never spent this much brain cycles for my entrance exams or job interviews!!

Fellas, what’s the order to delivery time window that’s currently running for Beasts? Do you think I have a chance to get Beast delivered by Dec if I switch to FS Beast today? I’m giving it a second thought. Please don’t judge me! lol ?

I *think* I'm finally home free. I didn't have an enjoyable delivery experience.
On 22Aug I was texted to complete app pre-delivery items.
That's how I knew I was getting a VIN.
I immediately started the finance paperwork and the trade in paperwork.
On 23Aug a text came in saying time to schedule delivery. I still hadn't got the trade in offer.
I relayed that info and somehow the trade in offer came in 24Aug.
Then they wanted me to take delivery 25, or 26, or 27 Aug.
I was booked at work so I asked for 30Aug.
Nope, if I didn't choose the offered dates, I would go on hold or possibly be cancelled.

I picked the 27th late afternoon and crossed fingers I could swing it.
On the 27th, I got a text @ noon, oops, sorry your truck is not actually here, so reschedule for 30Aug (aargh! what I originally wanted).
On 30th I get a text @ noon, oops sorry, your truck actually needs service, 1 week anticipated for part/repair. Reschedule for 6Sept late afternoon.

Show up 6Sept, finish purchase, turn in trade in. A few glitches but nothing major.
Take truck exactly 1 block before we realize there is something wrong with the steering/alignment. Pulls hard to the right. Take it right back to service center. Wait 1 hour plus in lobby, a service ticket is created and I have to go home that night in a loaner Y.
Since 6th was Friday, no one could look/troubleshoot until 9Sept.
At end of day 9Sept another msg from service said, more work needed. I think they thought it was just going to be a squircle calibration.

Midday 10Sept, msg "Truck is ready". I am anxious, and nauseous through this whole ordeal.
Pickup truck, test it locally to service center. Seems OK now. Like my test drive in early August.
Invoice comments say "Four Wheel Alignment" and "CT front suspension-Front lower control arm fasteners".

Home now.
Did the accessory inventory. Aside from the backordered stuff (light bar) I can't locate the Glass Roof Sunshade.

I think I need a drink.:sneaky:

What's your delivery center? Just hope it doesn't go through the Mira Loma Rail Yard.

I’m not assigned one yet but I’m just few mins away from Dublin center. I presume that’ll be my delivery center.

I didn’t receive wheel covers…. Interesting
I heard that any vin above 29,000 had a good chance for getting them but depended on SC and location. Hope everyone gets them soon. It really completes the look of the truck.

I picked mine up today, VIN 285xx and no wheel covers. They said I should have them in a couple of weeks.
A couple weeks, eh? Famous last words... lol

I can’t do it fellas!! Screw range, payload, delivery timeline, tax credit, and every possible thing that I listed through careful logic and reasoning to talk me out of Beast. I updated the specs back to FS Beast. Sorry for temporarily leaving this waiting room for 10 hours. I’ll wait for eternity to get my Beast. It’s been only 5 years. It can’t be worst than that! If I ever say I’m getting anything other than Beast, please report and ban me out! ?

It will be bad man. Here's how it will play out. After a few months you'll get a VIN. Great! Then it will get loaded on a train and head for California. It will land in Mira Loma Railyard. There it will sit and be delayed indefinitely. After a few weeks even your delivery center will get sick of waiting and declare the vehicle lost in transit. You can then either take someone else's rejected car, if one is available, or you can have Giga Texas start making you you another one. Wash, rinse and repeat.

How’s this different from AWD? If I have to wait for either, I’ll just wait for the Beast! btw, I’m in the Bay Area. I’m not sure if Mira Loma Railyard is a bottleneck for my delivery center! Either ways, it looks like if I need a Cybertruck, it is what it is. btw, what’s the deal with that Railyard? I’m not up to speed on that situation!
