Thanks God for the color matching band-aid (duct tape) someone invented years ago with the Cybertruck in mind.

I'm sorry to hear about this! I hope you get it fixed quickly. I'm also a personal injury lawyer (NY) and my truck should be delivered in a few weeks. I will definitely make sure the recording is activated before I drive out from the dealer!

You got that right!! A couple of young boys in the neighborhood wanted to look in "OO7" yesterday. I'm obviously alittle embarassed it has duct tape holding the front frunk stainless down. The boys never said a word, never seemed to notice until I brought it up. Haha!! Invisible Tape!

I personally love this feature. As we both know, "he said/she said", is the battle cry determining liability in most cases. Dashcam helps to aliviate that from the issue of determining liability. Be sure to format the memory card first, *part of the activation*, then enable "Sentry" and "DashCam" modes. If you want to get fancy, go to "BoomBox" and customize your Sentry mode to *Fart* if someone gets too close to your CyberTruck! :p

Maybe I am naive, but what about personal responsibility. If I am at fault, I am at fault. Stories about people trying to weasel out of their responsibility earn disdain in this discussion. Yet some folks seem to be arguing in favor of said weaseling??
It would be foolish to automatically declare yourself at fault, because there are many cases that reveal gross negligence on behalf of another party that resulted in the incident even happening in the first place. You can allow the facts of the case to be presented in court before brining the Hammer down on yourself.

There are reasons our founders saw fit to include protections against self-incrimination.

Excuse me while i immediately run to see if i have my dash cam activated…

Glad no one was hurt! Be sure to pursue for economic damage associated with the future decrease in resale value from the incident being posted on your carfax. I recently sold my Model X, when I got the CT, and took a ~$3-4k hit by my estimation due to a minor accident on the carfax from an incident 3 years ago that was not my fault and was covered by the other drivers insurance. I had 5 people come look at the car and elect not to buy it solely due to the accident on the carfax. It was minor, with the driver door being repaired, and no other damage, but it’s on their nonetheless…

Good luck with the repair. Hopefully you get it back quickly!
I received a check for $5800 in addition to repairs for diminished value of my 2015 model s 70D. This was about 5 years ago. Filing a claim for diminished value is a must do. It went to arbitration since insurance company wasn’t cooperating

Did you get this retroactively after selling it?
