I know its not available or maybe not even possible, but if a 5th wheel attachment was placed in the bed, what would it be able to haul then? Would it bump the capacity 3000-4000+ lbs?

The reason I ask is becouse typical 5th wheel campers run about 5000lbs to 16000lbs. Mine is 14000lbs. It sure would be nice to be able to pull a 44ft 5th wheel camper with a cybertruck. I would go as far as modifying the camper to match the esthetics of the cybertruck.

It would not change the GCWR (13,500 for payload + trailer, AWD with All terrain tires) or towing limits (11k) set by manufacturer. It would improve axle loading so would probably allow for higher pin weight than the 1,100 tongue limit.
Issue with implementing is tying into the rear shock towers for load and enough chassis points to handle the torque from acceleration/ deceleration.

However, even if you did add a fifth wheel plate, the frontal area of the trailer combined with weight would likely make your range so short as to be practically unusable.

I wouldn’t mind even if I only got 100 miles out of it

You could probably make a 5th wheel plate that replaces the air tank cover. It has something like 8 chassis/body bolt points. But you might want the trailer connection more rearward than just centered on the air tank bed cover. A welder could make the plate fairly easily.

Nobody uses a 1/2 ton pickup to tow a fifth wheel. Don't be ridiculous!

Last I checked, Ford doesn't even approve of using their ICE F-150 (let alone their Lightning)to tow a 5th wheel. Are you new to towing fifth wheels? Even if you engineered a 5th wheel hitch for the Cybertruck, it wouldn't change the manufacturers tow rating because everything from the motors and gears to the cooling and brakes, to the air suspension to the chassis is engineered for specific loads. You would need a new engineering analysis of the entire truck to do this responsibly.

I will tell you, the Cybertruck tows right up to it's rated load just beautifully. It's rigid chassis is less likely to to end in disaster when towing a trailer that is prone to trailer sway oscillations (compared to the flexy ladder frames of traditional pickups that amplify these oscillations). That doesn't mean it's OK to exceed the manufacturers tow ratings simply because it feels so secure while towing. Tow ratings are much more than whether the frame can handle it.

Red’s in Miami made the first dually one and showed it at SEMA a year ago. His sound system is a bit much! He also did Sean Paul’s sound system while I was at his shop. Extra tires come with extra issues.
