Yeah hope this ends it in a good way.
I had a repair that delayed my delivery by a week before I bought mine (was supposed to pick it up but 2 hours before pick up Tesla texted, whoops, we found an issue, reschedule). Then a week or so later when I did go and pay and pick up the truck, driving out of the parking lot the alignment was so bad on the truck that it wouldn't drive straight. Did an awkward U-turn back to service center and raised a bit of heck. A week later, I did pick up my truck and was able to drive it home. Repair history said "Front suspension-Front Lower Control Arm Fasteners-LH(RR)".

That was an unusual delivery experience to say the least, and I sympathize with you. Hang in there, it should be worth the wait. It's a great vehicle and robot. When it works..............

I’ve seen a few of these on here, and most seem to happen very early in the life of the vehicle. So if you’ve made it to a certain number of miles you’re probably good, but I don’t know what that number is.
A guy who lives a few houses from mine passed 60k miles with no issues (AWD).

And then had an issue? Or is still driving with no issues?

The NJ dealer was helpful and did give me a loaner even though was out of state. That's a lot to go in a short 6 months. My model S never had a problem, looking forward to picking it up Cybertruck again.
Since then I've racked up 62k miles and no issues.

So this happened 6 miles from picking up your new truck? Talk about a black cloud on a what otherwise should have been a great day. I don't know how I'd feel about this one personally..... I'd ask for a new truck I think.
Picked up new 2025 4wd Cybertruck on 9/13/25. While on a NJ 295 ramp, I got a critical rear steering fault and to pull over after 6 miles. Called Tesla Roadside, they got back right away, they did a Hard Reset and told me to go to service center. The one week repair, replaced (PCS) Power Conversion System and now steering rack. The cost is est. when out of warranty is @ $7,000.
Anyone else had this issue?
Sorry to hear - By the responses so far it doesn't seem to be a common problem. The lemon law is 3 times ..so strike one....Thankfully, I've had my FSCB for just over a year with 12 k miles on and off road with no issues. There's been some desert pin striping and a few bruises here and there but mechanically it's been great... Good luck and welcome to the club!

I have one more core wheel and tire left for any CT- $475- I'm in N/E Mesa.......,FYI- I ordered the Wheel & Tire Cover, Strap, Tool Kit & Hydraulic Jack - Cover + Straps + D-Ring From RPM for $113...FYI

I hope it’s 8,500 miles as I’ve just passed that with no problems but glue/plastic failures all over the vehicle related to heat (gas pedal, windshield rubber trim, metal triangular side rails and plastic top side covers, rear view mirror holder plastic thing, off road light dehiscence from glass on roof, under seat storage plastic container sag, center console silastic insert)…

Tesla makes a shitty human interface to a fantastic drivetrain, in my experience.
