Do you actually get anyone to reply in the app? I got a VIN the same day of ordering. no one answers the phone or replies to my messages in the app. The local Tesla store in Austin told me there was a big lay of for the call/message support teams.... This is my first Tesla buying experience and it's been pretty annoying so far.

I have had the same experience. First time Tesla buyer (still waiting for VIN). I’ve messaged in the app maybe 6 or 7 times. No response. So I’m not sure about the app chat anymore.
PS: I’ve been waiting on a VIN since Oct 16.

Yeah I’ve always received a response, however it’s usually Fridays. They’ve been more responsive lately due to me trying to schedule my delivery date.

Prior to that when i only got my vin they responded twice a week.

I doubt they’ll let me add my referral to it tomorrow during delivery. I guess that’s ok since I’ll probably make that back within a week and a half from saving some gas…

You may have a chance…I’m a 10/4 order with no VIN yet and I’m not certain they prioritize sequential fulfillment.
Once you’re in the queue, you’re going to slide into whatever works best for Tesla I think. So maybe you’ll luck out and maybe just be right spot right time sooner than you think!

Your delivery estimate when ordering said Oct-Nov right? You’ll get before December.

where are you located? Im in Nashville. Not sure if thats any more advantageous.

For this to work, one has to put the new tesla order using another account. Correct ?
Also will Tesla not notice that the owner on both accounts (referee and referral) are same. Any risk that you may not get either the discount of $1000 or the $500 credit.

You'd have to cancel your current order. Then go to the app and get your referral link, use that to place another order. You'll get your referral credit plus the discount! Unfortunately back of the line.... Not that we know if that'd make a difference in getting it before the end of the year

Got it. The new order has to be placed using a new tesla account. So basically use the current account code and use it to place a new order using a new account. Please correct if wrong. Thanks much for the guidance.

New order, but not new account. I referred myself. Unfortunately they won't allow adding the retail code after reservation is made, have to order through the link.

$250 order placed wednesday 10/23, vin assigned and able to pick delivery date on 10/25, earliest delivery was 10/31 marina del rey. cyberbeast. i didnt select the delivery day yet but they would not add my ref code. going to re-order and hope it's just as speedy ?

I think cyberbeast is prioritized... Maybe I should edit my config again. I wanted the AWD, cheaper, but also the permanent magnet is in the rear, instead of the front like the cb...

Does editing your config remove the referral credit?

I missed military discount, FSD transfer, and 1K referral, worked like a week too early. hah. FML
