Protectaclear is needed under the install of these?
If you want to keep them on indefinitely, you should use a double coat of ProtectaClear. You should also use a double coat of ProtectaClear before installing any conventional wrap, especially before the winter months with the presence of salt on the roads.

Keep in mind, when we corrosion-tested our magnetic wraps months ago, it was an extreme abuse test. Most people will never splash concentrated salt water on their Cybertruck, then slap the magnetic sheets over that salty surface. We simply wanted to create a near full-proof solution for any harsh environment.

I’ve seen a video of a Magnet that had been sitting on a CT panel for months, with no issues on the CT once the magnet was removed.

Maybe you should do a Salt Spray on a scrap CT panel with your Wrap and see what happens after a few months?
could be me, coming up on the one year mark - stay tuned for the update. Also added a third magnet.

Nice product. One thing that kept catching my eye in the video is the exposed SS. You mentioned the tolerance has been tightened. Do you have a picture of that. A before and after would be nice. Best option would be e wrap-around the edge solution but i think it will not be that straightforward to develop.

The latest photos we've posted of our kit is the newest version (see photo).

As far as wrapping around the steel edges, that can't be done with the magnetic material because it's too thick. However, there is a product to hide the edges. It's a narrow vinyl tape used for pinstriping that can work (see photo). We are also considering selling edge strips color matched to the magnetic wrap to hide any exposed edges (see photo).

I got a PPF wrap but would love to have this to change colors....any idea if it will hold while over a PPF wrap? How much for a custom one are you thinking?

We will most likely offer a higher energy magnetic sheet that can work well over a PPF surface. Our magnetic wraps seem to adhere well over regular vinyl, but high-speed testing needs to be done in those particular applications.

Understood, protectaclear just has some issues with eggshelling etc. May try a set of the covers over a ceramic coating.

Luckily ProtectaClear can be removed if the application is not smooth enough. Ceramic coatings may work equally well, but we haven’t done any abuse testing with them yet.

Your site mentions "The world's only patented, reversible and reusable magnetic wrap for the Cybertruck!"

So, are you saying the panels are 'reversible' as in you can get it with 2 different colors? Or do you mean reversible as in 'you can go back to plain' by removing them?

I would LOVE the option of 2 colors...

They are reversible meaning, "you can go back to plain by removing them". I wish we could just flip them over and have a different color on the opposite side. That would be awesome, but magnets only bond in one direction. You can have two colors, but you'd have to buy two kits in order to do that.

We created this fun promo using clips and photos of recent magnetic wraps we've done along to some weird techno music and featuring my very shy wife. :ROFLMAO:

Hi,
I have clear PPF on my truck. Is it ok to place magnetic covers on top, what is your experience when doing so?

Interested for color change in the Summer!

Thank you

Our magnetic wraps seem to adhere well over regular vinyl, but PPF coatings can be thicker. We need to perform some adhesion and high-speed tests for those particular applications.

If there is significant loss in adhesion over those surfaces, we may offer a higher energy magnetic sheet that's designed to work over a PPF surface.

Most people who see these in person have commented that they like the look and several have brought up the similarities to the Tron design. :)

Easily done! If you have any pictures of exactly what you have in mind, or better yet a link to the actual vinyl product or color you're seeking, we can most likely get an exact match!

I'm interested in the the front (and hood) in steel. Can you do that? I just want to use it for travel.
