Cybertruck crashed by Turo renter while pursuing porch pirate (videos) 🤦🏻‍♂️

About to find out how good TURO’s insurance is…​

Yesterday my renter saw a porch pirate running to car with his box, accelerated and crashed into said porch pirate making a sandwich with the burglar’s car and a tree.

Agreed. If it were me, I would just follow that car really close and activate the dashcam to record his license plate. I love my truck too much to intentionally crash it.

Something seems suspicious about this.

1) The Cybertruck was far away when the thief was first sighted running.

- How did they know it was their package, or even what was going on?​

- Within 2 seconds they see the man running with a box and accelerate into chase mode.​

2) You can see the dashboard and window reflection in the dashcam.

- This isn't the built in camera.​

- Why does the CT have a 2nd dashcam?​

- Its like they used their own camera gear to be able to get the video easier.​

3) 3 sides of the box are visible, 0 shipping labels or logos. None of my shipments are in virgin boxes.

It might be real, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out be to an attempt at making a viral video. They likely even rented a CT for this reason alone.
