Cybertruck Deliveries Suspended Temporarily -- due to windshield wiper motor issue

Merritt Island, Florida Tesla dealer told me last Tuesday, June 18, that there is a problem with the CT windshield wiper motors, and that they have stopped deliveries of CT until they can get the motors replaced. Anyone else hear this?

That would imply a pending recall of all presently delivered CTs.

Considering I drove mine 5 days then it has been at SC for almost 30 days now waiting on new HVAC part(s), my fun meter is pegged.

Well that explains why I haven't had any text for delivery. VIN on 9th and was expecting a delivery text this morning. Lol and behold my daily email recap of the forum was first message I read today. Well nuts. Hoping they still ship it to the delivery center so I can at least eyeball it to make sure all lines up. It was still in Texas on the 14th.
Stuff fails and I'd rather have the wiper right than it arrive a week quicker.

I took my AWD (113xx) to check the wiper (never worked, delivered 05/30).

Yep, I need a new motor, haha!! Part ordered. Hopefully here in a week or so.

By the way, I love the West Covina SC (formerly Pomona/Walnut). Simply great service. For the few times we’ve had to take our 2020 MYLR’s in, always a good experience.

On a positive note, the SC did get me my CT keycards!! Happy about that. (CT on bottom, haha!!)

Oh that's good. Lucky you.. they did not reply to me yet. i was thinking to go and talk to them.

Update:
Took delivery of my CT today. All went well, everything looks perfect.
Invite received March 2, ordered same day.
First delivery date received May 23, rescheduled due to delay in delivery. Finally took delivery today. 114 days of waiting.

Same here in San Francisco Bay Area. Motors are still on the way...

Recall issued for all Cybertrucks built through June 6th. Root cause is Tier 2 supplier fuctional test that damaged the motor drive electronics. Only 2% reported have the latent issue.

It sounds as if the motors could be repaired with a new circuit board, I wonder if they'll try to re-work the old motors? Might not be worth it from a labor perspective.

That would be handled at the Tier 1 level. Possibly sell as refurbished units. More likely they just scrap and bill their suppiler (Tier 2).

I was able to take delivery of my AWD truck today in West Palm Beach. There were about 8 of them there but only 2 could be released, and my 15200’s was one of them. I did not ask about the wiper motor. Truck was manufactured in May.

Just the containment hold. They haven’t received the parts at the Mesa, Arizona delivery center yet.
