The rear passenger doors are doomed for both my Model y and Cybertruck. They have the same faulty behavior:

After rain or car wash, there is a chance of causing this behavior. The rear passenger door will just unlock itself every few seconds, the window will lower a bit, and the door won't actually open. There is also a message on the screen says "manual door release triggered".

My Model Y went to service twice and they couldn't figure it out since it is not easily reproducable. Now my Cybertruck has the same issue, what are the odds???

Does anyone have similar experience and how did you fix it? It is really annoying as the window will lower even when I'm driving, because it's manual release???

I got these cool pics thanks to the rain though:

Did you have the issue come up after tinting windows?

@codeater, I had a similar issue with our early 2020 Model Y (under 20,000 VIN). It turned out to be the wiring harness going to the back right door. The mobile tech found it after 3 trips to the service center. He grabbed the wiring harness with the door open and moved it up and down and the door/window reacted. I doubt that's you issue, but thought I'd share in case it is. Good luck, and just keep bringing it up to them. Also, take a video of it when it happens.

Did u ever find out what was causing this problem? Im having similar problem on driver door and it wont open from the inside.. and it just so happens to be after the window was tinted. However, this was a redo on the tint and everything worked fine after the first time, on this one and all the other doors.

Probably water in the door switches.
May dry out on its own. Or try hair dryer on cool.

It disappeared by itself after I reported it, haven't had issues since then, and my model Y has been totaled so that goes the issue on that car.
