I suspect the rub with a powered cooler in the frunk is there is no effective way to discharge the heat from the cooler given the seal around the frunk and it seems no provision was made for ventilating anything like a cooler.

For $200, I might go for it without power and as-is. For $700? It's an easy pass.

Could this be the only Cybertruck accessory that will never go out of stock?
Now Out of Stock, haha!!

anyone find it hilarious that this thing cost more than their brand new universal Wall Connector, which is 600 bucks that can charge your cyber truck and any other EV for that matter along with allowing power share if you have the gateway? I love Tesla and the Cybertruck, but when accessories are outrageously priced, I think it’s an insult.

$700 for an unpowered frunk cooler?! Geez Louise Tesla.

I have a powered cooler/freezer that I can use my solar panels for less than $700. The battery life last 36 hours also.

The crazy thing is that watch this sucker sell out within a few days.
I’m of the same opinion. Unpowered ice cooler for $700 bucks? Putting the price aside, it isn’t powered!
I spliced into the frunk 48 volt accessory and installed a buck converter (48v to 360watt 12v). I alternatively charge a Bluetti 2000watt solar generator, and I plug a powered 20 quart mini fridge into the Bluetti. Alternatively I have a smaller 120 watt buck converter from which I run the 20 quart mini fridge directly from the down-converted accessory supply line when I don’t want to have the Bluetti in the frunk.
We had cold groceries and drinks from Scottsdale, to Salt Lake City, to Mesa Verde National Park in CO, and all the way back to home in AZ over 4th of July. I cannot imagine using an ice cooler for that when the technology is RIGHT THERE waiting to be used.

I don’t think I spent $700 for my setup, including the solar generator that has 2 110v outlets! (I did get the Bluetti on sale.)

Tesla could do better. Besides, the CT already has a built-in cooler, in the sub-bed. Throw some ice in that puppy and viola! It even has a drain plug!

But the CT cooler is definitely a cash-grab with limited utility.

At $700 it makes the actual cybertruck price a deal :)
