Cybertruck in containment delivery hold since Friday, urgent!!

I picked up an inventory 2024 earlier this month in US and have a service appointment I booked to address some issues noted during delivery and they assigned a loaner car to me as it will take a day.

The service ticket only has 2 of the items I requested and they did not add anything about the HV battery yet.

Will update if I get any more info.

I traveled from Colombia to receive my Cybertruck, but three days before delivery Tesla put a containment hold on it and now we are probably going to head back without receiving the truck. Is really frustrating and disappointing, anyone knows anything about this?

Both, I asked to move mine to New 2025 and it was also affected. My order is for a discounted 2024 AWD.

same here- I had a discount inventory 2024.

i was attempting delivery yesterday and today. sales guy didn't realize why i wasn't able to schedule delivery at first.

curious how many my delivery/service center has to deal with. last year when my Y needed a battery replacement, it was back in less than a week.

Typically means they found a defect that needs repair or there is an open recall preventing them from releasing until it is addressed. I had both happen before mine was successfully delivered.

It was about a six week period where I had 2 VIN reassignments due to issues preventing delivery, and then the hold for the rivet in the accelerator. But certainly my experience should not be used as a basis to determine how long you might have to wait.

also, for the others waiting like me, keep in mind this was 9 months ago. production/turn around for cybertruck should be a lot faster.

Issue right now is not production. Issue is this battery hold where they have no ETA on fix so not delivering

I was supposed to pick up my new truck saturday but it didn't arrive. now it's at the showroom but they won't release it. anyone know why and if it's a typical problem? this is my first electric car, ddi I make a mistake they said they are just insuring the "customer experience"... wtf? The first reassignment was because I couldn’t pick it up on 3 days notice as I was on a business trip so they sold it to someone else, but it was also being held due to some defect and couldn’t be sold, so I have literally no idea what that was about. The second they claimed it was missing some bed panel that covers the HV system and they couldn’t get the part so they couldn’t sell it.

Not typical - but seems like it’s on hold due to battery and no time for resolution

I don't know why, but try searching "cybertruck dented batteries". The results may provide some insight to what's causing recent delivery delays for everyone.

They addressed that issue in December, should not be holding up new trucks in January. This is a different issue

There were 2 issues related to this. One was a harness which they replaced, other was dented battery packs in which case they swapped them out. Both were around the 20th of December.
