Cybertruck in containment delivery hold since Friday, urgent!!

i just got off the phone with another location that had the same inventory model with "immediate pickup". she confirmed that all of the trucks are on hold until the find the battery issue. tracks with what i said yesterday that they simply need to "inspect" the trucks first. she told me they received an email from tesla this morning that they are hoping to resuming deliveries within a week. i believe they are still waiting to get information on what they’re looking for. i don't think many trucks are going to be affected by this.

They addressed that issue in December, should not be holding up new trucks in January. This is a different issue

FWIW, I do have delivery setup for a 2024 FS in a few days (though I am in Canada). Weird stuff.

I just got matched to another VIN and I am taking delivery tomorrow (fingers crossed). My first VIN was in the 54,000s and the new one is in the 56,000s. Same base spec, 2024 Inventory with discount.

what prompted a new vin- by request?

my current vin on hold is 56s. same conditions as you.

Yes, I requested it. Last night, Tesla's website showed no more base spec 2024s but this morning it showed one for immediate delivery. I reached out and asked and they confirmed it didn't have a hold and assigned it to me.

strange. The location I called had an immediate pick up option and they told me that all of their trucks are on hold.

They probably just sold it, or were selling it, to someone else and the website didn't reflect the sale yet.

maybe, i’m not sure. she told me that they have a hold on all of their trucks until they find the issue.

I saw an inventory truck that matched my spec and called. They told me while it shows for immediate pickup it’s on hold. They said most Cybertrucks manufactured in January are subject to this hold. This may explain while some people are able to take delivery of trucks that were manufactured in 2024.

I asked when the hold would lift and get the same answer from everybody’s in sales, service, and delivery which is they have no idea and haven’t heard anything

I reached out and the Sr. Delivery Advisor at the delivery location here in CO said they do not see any service holds on my vehicle at this time and would let me know if that changes. Fingers crossed, but sounds promising.

That does sound promising. Did your car arrive at the delivery location or not yet? For most people the hold occurred after the vehicle arrived at the delivery location while it was going through QA before delivery.

I am not sure where it is in the process. Do you have any idea how far before delivery that trucks will arrive on average?
