This is nonsense.

Nobody says this about the Silverado or any of GMs vehicles in spite of the fact that GM has had massive problems scaling things up.

Tesla is a manufacturer with a proven track record. It will ramp up. Quit buying into this made-up narrative that Tesla is weirdly less capable/ less proven than their peers. It’s 15 years, they have easily the best track record of delivering and ramping up EVs.

Your whole post is just a giant pile of paranoia.
Paranoia? Really? From "mega casting" the frame to a folding metal exoskeleton to the giant single wiper blade... all these elements are new and not part of their existing track record (or anybody elses for that matter).

I'm just taking a "wait and prove it" stance, there is no paranoia involved.

Lets have this discussion in May 2024 and see where things are...

Sort of like:
  • You can’t make a profit selling EVs with a 300 mile range.
  • Tesla will never produce 500k EVs in a year.
  • A single casting for the rear end isn’t possible.
  • Etc etc etc.
You are covering someone else’s song and just don’t realize it.

I want to be a member. I'm already developing some interesting Big Ass Wiper rituals to perform at our ceremonies. Nothing like some well-established ceremonial sacraments to bind a cult together.

ewwwwww I like this cult ceremony talk! Can we have a goat asshole kissing ceremony thrown in just because? Thinking of other rituals right now .....

I love how you skip over the more benign and go right to goat ass kissing.

If goat asses are involved… hard pass.

if its priced at 90k+ I'll label it that way too
Almost every major criticism of the Cybertruck starts with the assumption that the base price is 150-200% of launch pricing. Then they work down the list from there. At those prices, a lot of these concerns are valid.

Some group being a cult is often just in contrast to whatever group is making the statement.
I agree, I think they are projecting their sincerest hopes onto the Tesla group.

THIS!
Im a big Tesla fan, not so much an Elon fan. You can be one and not the other. No need for guilt by association.
I am an Elon fan. I don’t believe what I read about him in most cases. Someone not telling me what he is doing but projecting what they want me to think Elon is thinking or doing. Elon’s Twitter post sense of humor is ok. That at least I know is Elon being himself. You certainly do not need to be an Elon fan like me.

They are already complaining now.

Hopefully the Big Ass Wiper will push it over 75%.

CyberGus and I are founding the Cult of the Big Ass Wiper.
I wipe my big ass daily. Does that make a member of the big ass wipers?

oh my - so how much is the expected total expense to own a CT? Install a home charging station + data package? Im 100% new to EV and Tesla. I am not happy about having to buy the $15k fully automated Add-on. So, if base price is $40k + 15K for fully auto --- what are we looking at all up and in?
15k for FSD that isn't FSD with no guarantee it will ever be fully FSD. The hardware comes with the CT and if they ever achieve FSD then you can purchase it whenever.
When most of us put our $100 down we may have thought that the FSD price at the time was locked in but I doubt Tesla will honor that.
$40k CT is probably not going to happen.
Remember that much of the projected pricing for the CT occured when the 4680 was promising at a reduced cost and Tesla is struggling to make these batteries.

FSD is always optional, if you can live with the FOMO.

If you ordered FSD with your reservation, then it locked the price ($7k on launch day). Today it costs $15k.

Regardless, Tesla now has a FSD monthly plan, so you can rent it.
Is anyone certain 7k FSD option was locked in? The original pricing, configurations and specs are different.
