Cybertruck Lightbar Coming Soon for Foundation-Series Owners (Says Vehicle Program Manager)

Siddhant Awasthi, the Cybertruck Vehicle Program Manager, confirmed today on Xthat the offroad lightbar is coming soon.

Awasthi also pointed out that Cyberbeast customers will receive it first, most likely followed by dual-motor AWD owners. While he didn’t specify a date, soon is as good news as any.

From my understanding, the light bar's usage is only permitted off road but I hope you're right.

Sadly, no. The light bar with ship with a black out tape over it that only the customer or 3rd party installer is allowed to remove to get around the liability issues that comes with OEM off-road lights. It will not have a setting that is safe for on-road use as it will be up to the customer to accepted the liability by removing the black out tape.

Are you saying the Dual motor AWD trucks will get the lightbar for free? Or they will get it IF you paid extra?

Pretty sure the light bar is only included in the price of the Cyberbeast. Suspect it will show up in the accessories store with Foundation Series AWD folks being able to purchase first -- until they go out of stock after selling 3 of them as per usual Tesla restocking procedures. Keep in mind non-Foundation AWD is supposed to begin some time before year-end, guessing Oct/Nov, so Tesla will probably only permission for purchase to Foundation Series AWD in 2024. Just speculative interpretation of the above.

From my paperwork when I got FS CT list what I will get:
All Cyberbeast Foundation Series customers will receive the Off-Road Light Bar with their order. Off-Road Light Bar delivery is expected in 2024.

The lightbar showed up for a short time as an orderable item. And it was shown as an included item for the Cyberbeast.

Just wondering if there is any other practical usage if I don’t do off-roading? I like the look, but I am debating should I install it if I don’t do off roading. It probably hurt the efficiency a bit.

It completes a great look if there is a low intensity light setting for on-road.. smtg that is just for "artistic impression"... as much as this truck can be off-road, it should have good on-road looks too ... the rest is laws and regulations that don't really account for this inoffensive use case
