I’m just jealous because I spent all my fun money for the month on insulation for my attic.

Gonna be out of stock by tonight from all the 59k fellows who saved their money from that Tesla premium
Legit. they will make more though.
FWIW. I think it’s worth it despite everything I went through to get it and despite the clearly hyperinflated price.
I had an aftermarket one on mine first and I regularly off-road late into the evening. Entirely disagree with the posts above about function and intended purpose. Yeah it looks cool and yeah it distinguishes trim a little but it’s actually a really well designed product with virtually no noise or range loss.
It’s not as bright as the insane overkill of the aftermarket ones that can vaporize insects, but it’s highly useable well directed light that gets me off the trails and back on the freeway safely. The ditch lights only option is also very useful.
The screen interface is very nice and it’s more than just the ability to turn the roof or frunk power supply on or off like the aftermarket bars do.
It’s a matter of time before UP or tsportline, or xkglow or Tesstudio or someone else is on here posting “ours is UI controlled too”. No, it really isn’t, no matter how many times the marketing material repeats that misdirection.
The experience I have from this bar as compared to my former aftermarket bar is not comparable. Functional, but qualitatively quite different.

also…let the aftermarket shenanigans from sw lights and cyberglow and boring commence. I’m excited to see them make one of these to match the DRL.

I have one, if you are buying it only get it for the looks... its not very good. The light it makes is minimal. Its certainly not worth $2k. If you honestly need a lot of light I would go with something else.

TLDR; It looks sleek, but the light output is 2/5. I do not recommend it.

100% agree with you.

I also ordered the 59k one; I’m so proud that I’ll now be on the same level as you.

Good for you! I'm glad that now everybody will be able to have it, my cyberbeast is one of the first and I paid for everything. I knew I was fucked when the light bar didn't come until a year after my truck delivery, the FSD we didnt get it until like 9 months after, the freacking wheel hubs, etc. Now I look at my 120+k truck and Im like, meh, not a big of a deal. LOL

But Im very happy that Im in the same bag as many of you that still dont have ASS!!!! hahahahaha

" ones that can vaporize insects " Haha! I don;t care if it is for off road, I just wanted to look like the under the windshield one, like the one Zoox has. For the looks, when you see from far away, you know is a CT. (specially after they dimmed the front lightbar, you cannot tell that it is a ct at night untill it is 10 feet behind you)

Two Grand?!? Get the fuck out
Yeah. It’s quite unreasonably priced. There is no doubt about that. We will see how many people are willing to pay that.
Based on what we’ve seen of people clamoring for them as contraband, maybe more than you think.
At least it includes installation and therefore probably relocation or replacement with the windshield insurance plan and likely coverage under Tesla warranty, but I obviously don’t know that for a fact.

Hot take:

The Tesla off-road light bar design sucks.
Functions? Awesome.
Design is awful.

I disagree, I like the design. I don't like the individual light bulbs, it doesn't make it look like a solid star wars saber :)

Design is subjective. I like mine. Certainly less of an eyesore than any of the aftermarket options I’ve seen in my opinion.

The class warfare cracks me up, especially the misinformation associated with it. In case we need some convenient categories, see below. The question is are the CBs really king or is it the 59K most value for money galaxy sized big brainers??

I know I'm squarely in the vassal category with my PAWD. I like to wrench so probably more of a knight than a soft supple handed lord.

The light output was my only complaint. I agree that it’s very dim, comparatively. And, at the cost, it ought to be able to switch to amber lights. But, now that I’ve had mine since October 2024 I can add one other concern to the list that people should think about. The piano black plastic has not held up well in the desert sun.

I’ll get some pictures, once I get Leo back from service, but it’s very much oxidized/hazy. Just something to think about if you’re going to buy this as an add-on for $2k. The best things it has going for it are its aesthetics and the integration into the touch screen UI. But, the aesthetics don’t seem to be holding up much better than the original glue.
