I had a rep tell me that I voided my warranty disconnecting my battery while I soldered the harness. I said, "I wanted to disconnect when I connected my off-road lights because you guys couldn't (for liability)." He was trying to tell me that I was supposed to bring it in for them to do it. I was like... no! But he wouldn't see what I was saying.
The lead technician came and confirmed what I was telling him and then told me on the side that they are doing them now. In my case, they kind of had to look at the whole area. The wiring I did was fine, but the techs disconnected the harness during recall work and never reattached it, so everything upstream of my solder points (to the light) was disconnected.

I got one from eBay a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t get Tesla to install it. They wouldn’t even sell me the brackets for self-install.

Maybe they’ll sell the brackets now??

They showed the lightbar when they unveiled the production CT. I didn’t think it was ever going to be CB only, but I got tired of waiting and went the eBay route.

I might order one in the shop and sell mine.

They installed mine... And the electrical connection. Twice. Once before they added the new mount bracket. And again when they added the mount bracket and had to replace the light bar

I have one, if you are buying it only get it for the looks... its not very good. The light it makes is minimal. Its certainly not worth $2k. If you honestly need a lot of light I would go with something else.

TLDR; It looks sleek, but the light output is 2/5. I do not recommend it.

Spending 65k to have the expectation of exclusive rights to the light bar is wild….
