At first I thought the rattling on big bumps was the truck, but after listening longer it seems more likely it was gear and stuff in the vehicle bouncing around.
Yeah exactly. They must have lots of gear and tools in there. Plus the racks, Starlink, all the cables etc.

I’m sure like all Tesla’s the sound system is going to be awesome too!

As an aging white collar type guy, Caravaner, and ready to slow down somewhat, I may look out of place having a performance Cybertruck kitted out with cool rack, lightbar, Dish, aerial, ready to take on Baja.

Who cares :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
You basically just described half the IT guys I know. Just roll with it. Who cares.

No doubt - aging white collar IT guy here - my performance CT, kitted out and with a Stark Varg plugged in, in the back is gonna be awesome! Plus I'll look better not having a heart attack / knees buckling loading the bike using the CT kneel function after a long ride!

Like post above, I assume off-road mode is like track mode - eg configurable with sub mode settings that allow diff configs eg - rock crawl, Baja, sand, etc...hopefully a performance mode too (like track mode) - to config street settings (torque vectoring, power bias, etc) - sure it will be awesome!

yeah, wasn't a highlight of overall capability for sure - but it was Baja and if they transitioned all the varied terrain found down there it was a good test (even if they didn't share)! Drivers are lucky bastards - that would be an awesome trip!

Oh true, no doubt its pretty sweet to see the make the trip down there.. get in some testing and then hopefully safely back to Texas. Far more than 99.9% of buyers will ever do.

At first I wondered if it was still possible here that they’ve driven *down* the peninsula for over a week as a reverse pre-run to the SCORE 1000 that this year is running in reverse from the tip upwards

But, they’re definitely not running SCORE Baja course (or during the sanctioned pre-run window after Oct 21st), and I’m irritated to think Tesla might eg talk at release about the CT ‘doing Baja’ to sort of intentionally conflate the geographic location ‘Baja’ with the race ‘Baja’

On the other hand, doing 1300miles of Baja (geographic location) roads is a good Buzz-Squeek-Rattle test

the only SCORE Baja race left this year is the big boy, the 1000 (running reverse this year, out of La Paz)

Compare to the CT’s map:

So, lest anyone be confused, while the CyberTruck has done something cool - which is to BSR test along 1300mi of dirt/sand/rock roads, and string together the destination chargers needed to do it … in the geographic location called the Baja peninsula…

… the CT has not done the race called the Baja

which shouldn’t be surprising given, if nothing else, the charging limitations

but will be confused and conflated by the xwitter horde

Damn the CT changes directions so fast. I don't know if it was the driver or rear wheel steering but it seemed to turn very quickly.

Damn, this dude called it back in March!

He also called that the CyberTruck doors will both open and close, it’ll have all 3 dimensions, and be composed of atoms

Someone mentioned a rattling sound...I've done Baja in my 1979 Power Wagon...the fact this guy can speak without his voice shaking and not yelling to be heard is amazing...when you're on this trail everything is rattling

generally agree

but are you making that observation based on your experience in a 1979 Power Wagon?

?

Awesome,
Bit rattly. Guess thats the RC bits. :)
Yeah. Both my R1T and R1S are like that while off roading. Both have active heigh adjustable air suspension and multi off road modes plus Hydraulic actuators instead of anti-roll bars. Still lots of rattles.
