Sounds like a supplemental battery is the way to go then. I built my system based on the 120v AC of the truck, so I guess the all in one is a better option for me specifically.

Does this behavior of the truck also exist when using the 48v accessory mounts as well? My understanding is that the 48v stuff is completely separate from the high voltage battery so maybe when it is running, the drive systems don't need to be activated? Other than to keep it from dying of course.

You can't leave the 48v system powered all the time. It turns itself off. The AC inverter will run for 12 hours at a time if you set it to stay on, but that leaves you with the same problem you started with.

You could use the 48v system as a maintainer, but you'll have to remember to turn it on for every drive. The AC inverter can be set to turn on when you enter the truck which is convenient for me. I've used for my ham radio, and the "always on" accessory battery maintainer.

The all-in-ones are pretty cool! I loved mine until it stopped charging and I got frustrated that I couldn't troubleshoot it myself. Then I realized that the loads I'm using on it were so tiny that it was overkill ?
A camp fridge doesn't use much, nor do lights--unless you're running huge off-road lights, but that's better saved for the 48v mid voltage system anyway. Just my take and mistakes
