You should add a poll to this post to get accurate input.

I bought a Foundation Cyberbeast made in August 2024 (VIN 26###). Picked it up in September 2024. Since then, I've put over 10,000 miles on it, driving from Michigan to the Gulf of America, and over to the Atlantic Ocean, and back. I've even taken it into Canada and survived. It's been 99.9% reliable.

3 minor Issues:

1) I noticed a small <1mm bubble inside my front windshield after picking it up that caught the light in certain conditions. I mentioned it to them and Tesla replaced the entire windshield!
2) In winter months, the back passenger door would leak air slightly when driving > 75MPH. If I rolled the window down slightly, it would seal up. Now that the weather has warmed up, no more leaking air.
3) I get a bit of water in the truck bed after I take it through car washes. Not much, just a bit near the tailgate. I simply open the tailgate after and wipe it down.

The above are the only issues I have experienced in 10,000 miles. It's been very reliable. It powered my home in a blackout for several hours via the Powershare Home Backup panel. FSD has been a gamechanger (although the last couple updates have seemed to be a downgrade in accuracy). My wife says it drives better than I do.

Very happy with my purchase!!!
The wind noise indicates it needs to be recalibrated at the dealership. Same happened to me.

I've had nothing important go wrong.

The steering column scraped at every turn, quickly addressed by the dealer.
Passenger seat adjustment panel came off after being caught on something.
Window switch broke as I went to close the window.
Rear window needed to be recalibrated after a software update.

All minor. All pale in comparison to my 2020 Mercedes GLE which accumulated issues every few months. Still an amazing vehicle. I look forward to every drive.

I have had my Foundation Series for almost a year. It is an amazing vehicle. The 2 issues I have had were minor. There was an issue with the tonneau cover motors that were replaced, and there was a high pitched air whistling sound which they also repaired. I actually expected more quirks since it is a new vehicle. I use it like a truck and also take it off-road.

Hi All,

This thread is directed to all the Cybertruck owners (in particular, owners of more recent builds in the last few months).

I'm at a point where I will be buying a new vehicle in the next few months. For the last year, I had no doubt that it'd be the Cybertruck. But lately, I've started to get a bit worried about the reliability of the truck. This will be my only vehicle. I would drive it everywhere and everyday. Although I (desperately!!!) want this truck, I can't buy something that's going to be in the service center every few months for weeks at a time. And I also see reports of the vehicle just randomly getting bricked for silly things and having to get towed all the time.

I knew that since this was a new vehicle, it was perfectly reasonable for there to be quite a few issues that would need to be ironed out after the vehicle release. But now we are almost two years in and it doesn't seem the issues are ironed out enough. Of course when you research it on the news, everyone likes to exaggerate how the cybertruck never works. However, they are all biased so who knows how much those can really be trusted. But even in here where the bias is probably in the other direction, I see quite a few reports from owners saying they are randomly not working, etc. My hope is that maybe 10% of Cybertrucks have issues but 90% of them work perfectly fine and are just as reliable as Tesla's other vehicles.

So my question for Cybertruck owners (particularly ones with newer builds where the issues might be less common):

>>>> Is the Cybertruck reliable or are you constantly having to take this thing in for service and constantly having issues where it doesn't work? If you were speaking to a potential owner (me) whose priority is an electric vehicle that is reliable, would you recommend the Cybertruck?

Again, I desperately want the Cybertruck. But I worried that's my emotions speaking and not by brain. And perhaps I should just go for the performance version of the new Model Y whenever that version is released..... because it's reliable.

transfer to the new inverter was unable to be retrieved from the old component which required
replacement of the drive unit assembly. Technician removed and replaced the pyro fuses, the rear
drive unit, performed a vacuum coolant refill, and test drove the vehicle. A four wheel alignment was
performed since the rear subframe was removed for repairs.

Like others, I have had no problems at all with reliability. I have had to go to the shop rarely- once I tore off part of the plastic trim, so it was just cosmetic, and once to pick up my CyberTent. It has been a great vehicle and everything works.

I have my CT for a year now and I’ve never been to the SC once for any issues other than the recall and the tire rotation. Pretty reliable truck.

Had my CB since July, 20k VIN, no issues other than leaky tonneau and broken windshield (windstorm dropped a tree branch on it). I drive it, or it drives me, every day.

The only downside is driving anything else now is mildly disappointing. I'm not kidding.

So as far as people having trouble with their cyber truck keep in mind people aren't going to post when it's perfect unless somebody asks I have a 2018 model spd100 it's been in service twice once per air conditioning compressor under warranty and second for a computer module upgrade other than that nothing. My cybertruck I've had since June so I may not be a good example except for the fact that it's never been in for service

Had mine about 1.5 months. Bought a 24 AWD 38k vin. Got the “fsd and free charging” and have about 1k miles.

So far it’s been amazing. The vehicle is the best vehicle I’ve ever driven/owned. Although I’m coming from subaru and Honda.

Issues so far:

tonneau cover wouldn’t open more than 6 inches (didn’t check at dealer and was a day 1 issue). Quick visit to shop and they fixed it.

After a super charge I got a fault and disabling of front motor. Warning cleared and hasn’t repeated. Read it was a bit of a glitch for some but others didn’t clear and was potentially bad inverter.

Best of luck in your decision! I’m in the Longmont CO area and the reactions have been mixed for peoples feelings. Probably 50/50. I’ll get a middle finger solute and - min later get a thumbs up.

Just over a year now and 25,000 miles on FS AWD.
Truck is a dream you will only regret if you don't move forward.
BUT I ignored the owners manual and left the tire fascia in place during an off road adventure and tore them all off. Pretty cheap replacement of about $100.

Only other issue was a "low gearbox fluid" error that popped up when the winter temp here was about -5deg F. SC fixed it and have had no other issues.
