on beast mode truck handles fantastic in the mountain turns (for a truck)...typically leave on High, Relaxed, Beast and it's a great all rounder comfort / power wise!
How do you leave it on high ride height and make it stay? At 25mph I thought the CT auto dropped to low drive height?

CT still drives like a truck and feels like a floating boat. It's not as grounded and stable as the X. I took the X on a recent 4k mile road-trip bc it has FSD, it's 30% more efficient and is more stable and comfortable for a road-trip. Plus the X is more incognito
What setting were you on. I feel it's too floaty if it's on "Relaxed", but on "Focused", it's perfect. You also have to remember, it's a Truck on All-Terrain 35's!

FWIW I have done this trip dozens of times in the Model 3 and Model S with FSD and more recently in the Rivian. The FSD ride is fantastic. It truly is. You can generally count on making on-ramp to off-ramp without intervention. You'll end up stopping at Buc-ees in Madisonville one way or another anyway. (+/-) though in the S you can skip the stop up and stop only once on the way home.

All that said, I prefer the Rivian because if dine it to be a more comfortable road-tripper. It eat an extra 15 minutes on the charger but worth it to me.

BayouCityBob, now that I have FSD subscription it will make the trip much easier in my Y. but I go from Bolivar to Denton so it's longer and requires another charging stop. The problem with I have with this road trip is when you get there. If staying in Hotel, they dont have chargers (yet), If going to a house they don't have a charging outlet. Frustrating to arrive and have to spend half hour or so charging.

I had a chance to take an X and Cybertruck down the same dirt road near a delivery cent. Longer wheelbase, bigger tires, stiffer body, more advanced air suspension makes for a much smoother and composed ride with no squeaks or rattles.
I like the X but the CT is just in another league.
thank you for the feedback. I really like your "Freddy Kilowatt" icon. you gotta be old to remember it.

Oh… the charging speed will eventually be VERY fast with v4 800v chargers. For now, it’s not that much slower to charge up than my Model 3P. ??‍♂
That is good news on the charging speed, I dont understand why though.

I really miss my X seats, they were far more comfortable. The non adjustable headrest is a bit annoying as well. With that said, I agree with the rest the ride comfort compared to my 2018 (less advanced suspension than the modern ones) is definitely better.
Took my first sub 200 mile trip yesterday in the CT, my ass hurt a bit from sitting so long. I am in the getting use to the seats phase. They aren't bad but they sure aren't luxury comfort either but then it's a truck...it works for me as long as they are durable!

In warm weather I prefer the firmer Cybertruck seats over the Model 3. In cold weather I think the more supple nature of the Model 3 seats win out. It's not surprising when the Model 3 seats beat another seat, because they are so good.

How does the CT ride comfort compare to the model X and Y that has air suspension? or any other expensive luxury cars or trucks? I hear that it is. Looking into the future, when FSD is approved or even just the next level of autonomy I can picture that road trip travel will change. Here is why, take for instance a 250 mile trip Houston to Dallas can be done by flying or automobile or luxury bus. We have made that trip many times and always chose to drive because of the inconvenience airport parking, lines, and you need a car when you get there. There is virtually no difference in time to get there. The luxury bus was chosen by other family members and that option was praised by the ability to work or relax and snacks and beverages were served. For them there was someone on either end to drop off and pick-up. So, I'm visioning that a comfortable spacious cybertruck with autonomy to be the best solution for all three options above. The only hitch in this scenario is the charging. Cybertruck with a 123 KwHr battery will take longer to charge our model Y that was complained about on our trips. Hopefully a battery that can fast charge from 20% to 80 or 90% is just around the corner. That just might be worth the wait for the NON FS version. Never the less we will have to put up with the perception of "that ugly thing" by friends and other onlookers here in south east Texas .
Model Y doesn't have air suspension... Wish it did...

As to batteries 'right around the corner'... Don't even deal with that... They are likely 5-10 years out, not 5-10 months... The media just uses that to get people to WAIT rather than buying now...

As to "that ugly thing" well, it's only going to be the haters and they will hate on it just because, but will then drive off in their white/gray/silver 4 door mini-sedan (mini because they are ALL smaller than 20 years ago) that has NO power, costs more to drive, isn't as FUN to drive either... They are the sheep... Ever notice how you could line up about 20 cars right off the road and they all look pretty much the same? Yet they come out with 'new models' every year when it's usually just a COSMETIC change, but they will tell you to 'buy now' before the prices go UP! and "No, white cars have better resale value" and other bull...

EV owners and drivers THINK DIFFERENTLY about driving... But do you REALLY think all the 'battery' issues will be solved in a year? Heck no... They have been working on 'new' battery types for DECADES and most of it's just hype because it's either too expensive to make one that can go 500 miles AND charge up in 5 minutes OR the battery would simply burn itself out in just a couple of years... Batteries only have to take us far enough to do our business for that day (X2). Heck, I don't even charge my car up to 80% much anymore... Why when, after I get home, I still have 50% or more left (and I have a 86 mile RT commute!), I will plug in and charge off my solar/battery system basically for free? The less of my 'stored' energy I use, the more I can SELL to SCE!! hehe...
