Sad this happened, I'd love to hear the story from the owner who did this. Most likely it was just a fail of the driver, which happens a lot. I am shopping for a boat so I'd love to find out how to prevent this in the future. I do know there are proper techniques to loading and unloading your boat into the ramp which was probably forgotten in this instance.
It would be great, with a disclaimer that Tesla is not responsible. To have a video tutorial for different modes and situations in our cybertrucks. That way first timers can gain a little more confidence in towing, off roading, loading/unloading on a ramp, etc. I guess that's youtube for us then.
This is concerning to me because the boat ramp where I will launch our pontoon boat this year is steeper than the one in Ventura and I haven’t used my Cybertruck for that purpose yet. Also, my wife is strictly an observer when launching or hauling out as she refuses to both drive the truck or the boat when doing so.

Guess I might have to impose on our neighbor to drive the boat off & back onto the trailer while I stay in the front seat. Or ask my son to drive 2 hours from Seattle to help.

This kind of sucks because I don’t like imposing on anyone, including family when I should be able to easily do it myself.
The truck has the normal parking brake and then it has the button you press for the Ebrake. But after setting both I still get the warning that the incline is too steep and the brakes may not hold. When launching my boat, as soon as I get out of the truck, I will always throw a chock under one of the tires. Then I would untie the boat and launch. All the times I did this last year the truck never moved (tire never moved back against the chock so the chock was easy to remove). I suspect the guy put it in reverse instead of drive and backed the truck into the water.

Thanks for the tip & placing a wheel chock is something my wife can easily do herself too since she always goes with me when launching & hauling back out.
