Looks like you can only purchase if you have a Cybertruck VIN tied to your account. That is a good thing to keep the borders away

Sadly, it is a good deal for the whole package.
Basically, you get the tire change kit for free.
A OEM rim is generally about $600 alone. (Or, it used to be.)
Is this the same size as the foundation upgraded wheel - or (it seems) just a temp spare.. this is not a full size is it? Sorry for the ignorance.

Going off the photo - Full replacement, not a cheap steel rim and tire.
(Of course, just going off the photo.)

I found out you can only buy this if you have taken delivery. I tried to order before a VIN, with a VIN and lastly after delivery. I could only buy it after delivery. It ships to a service center and you have to schedule an appointment for the service center to set the wheel in the truck bed. My appointment is next week, fingers crossed.

I have an appointment for next week too. Hopefully they already have the tire or it’ll be there in time

I want to get this, but I know I won't have it in my truck when I need it because it takes up bed space that I put the dirt bikes in - eg for riding days or camping days - aka in the CO mountains where cell and Tesla roadside service is spotty.

I imagine this can be primarily valuable to have where Tesla Road service is least likely. But then again, I’ve never had to contact them yet
I carry an emergency inflator with a tire plugging kit. I wouldn't carry around all that cargo wherever I go if someone gifted it to me. Much easier to perform an emergency repair than jacking and wrestling that monster.

Thanks for finding this out! I guess it prevents someone from buying them out and reselling at a markup

$400 CyberTruck spare tire on eBay and $25 tire cover from Amazon. Works for me.

I placed an order last night but, curiously, can't get a service appointment for "installation" until mid-July. When I ordered a winter wheel/tire set for my Model S from Tesla it didn't take that long and they actually mounted all four wheels onto my car. In this case I think they just drop the tire in the bed and strap it down.

Anyone actually have one purchased and "installed" as of yet? Just trying to get a sense of how much space it really takes and whether it might be worth getting the vault divider to keep stuff and tire separate.
