Of course, not sure why you would want that, I would much rather have USB or USB-C now-a-days...
USB-C PD is a bit of a train wreck, also the bus is I think designed for point to point communications. POE support is much more consistent an any node can address any other node.

I’m sure Tesla would do ok with USB-C as well, but POE is super arguably more standardized for this sort of thing.

The best USB-C cable is to get a Thunderbolt rated cable. Apple supposedly makes the best (according to this) but is also the most expensive.

Yeah, the problem with Thunderbolt cables is that they actually have extra conductors, which messes with how the software expects the interference to work.

So Thunderbolt cables may or may not work with USB 3.x but they'll mostly work with USB4 but not all.

For instance, the reason we needed the new cable is because the 5k monitor is on an arm, and we'd been using a Thunderbolt 2/Display Port Mini cable but the new RoG laptop with the 3070 my spouse's work sent just refused to work with it. It also refused to work with the USB 3 cable and the Thunberbolt 3 cables - though they worked fine with the 5K monitor and our ASUS 2080 Ti cards.

🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah, that one similar looking connector can be so many different standards, speeds, etc... so confusing.
