I had a couple of H1 Hummers and that was part of their warranty also... seemed really odd with that truck. They did do warranty work for me once after an off road event. I think that sentence is some insurance/warranty analysis/lawyer stating that they don't have to cover that to minimize expected warranty repairs and minimize off roading by those at the margin of off roading or not off roading. Cheers!
i.e. Don't come complaining to us if you drop it out of the back of an airplane and something breaks when it lands.

There is just about always a "commercial use" and "abuse" clause in warranties.

And most vehicle warranties won't cover damage from potholes. That tends to be a responsibility for the municipality.

Wonder what Jeep or Land Rover folks would say about this.

I remember years ago when some manufacturers tried to deny sports car coverage at track events or just racing too hard. GM warranties 1LE Camaro's and ZL1's, Z51 Corvette's and V-series Cadillac's for track use. As does Porsche, Mazda, and McLaren. These cars are marketed as sports cars etc so should be covered if you use it like a sports car. Of course there are limitations like professional events etc.

As a jeep owner, I can tell you this isn't unique. Jeep also denies warranty from offroad use. Offroad capable, but at your own risk. It's the first thing they do, look for scrapes under the vehicle. I've had good experiences with their warranty service (2 bad manual transmissions across 2 jeeps that were both covered), but if I had been off roading the story would have been different. If they could tell anyway.

Buddy driving his Y through Moab - stopped at the SuperCharger there - 3 Cyber Trucks, assuming Tesla owned. Nobody there and 1 of them had the graffiti on it (aka Baja test truck)....so working on the off-road SW I'd assume, warranty or not!
