You’re welcome. That is frustrating because they should not only know they’re missing, but let you know that you’ll be notified when they arrive so you can schedule to have them installed or picked up so you can do it yourself.
Exactly! I already ordered 4 and they are in transit scheduled to deliver Friday. It would be nice if they would just refund my order and let me keep them.

I have a feeling they will make it more complicated than that…smh

I’d be really surprised if they reimburse you especially when the service center people didn’t even know they were missing! ??‍♂ At least you’ll have them thought.

Received some more information this morning from Tesla:

They are currently working on "Revision B" of the D-rings. I already had a "due bill line" on my account for the qty 4 D-rings they owe me as a Foundation Series buyer. I do not believe that but whatever… it is there now lol

I was told they are no longer installing the "Revision A" version of the D-rings into the trucks that are being delivered to customers.

The D-Rings being sold on the online shop right now are the current A version. They will sell those until they go out of stock and then be replaced online with Revision B.

My service rep is trying to get me an ETA on the completion of the Revision B and its push to production. He could not tell me why they were already working on a Revision B. He said when they become available they will be installed for me at a service center.

Now I need to decide if I should keep the Revision A that are in transit to me or return them and wait.... A new revision does not always mean a better product lol. Could be a cost reduction initiative...

As I prepare for my delivery, I tried to go back to an official webpage that list all that comes witth the AWD foundation series and could not find one. Some of you have referred to a web site. Would you mind sharing the link?

Thanks for the follow-up. I also reached out to Tesla support. I'll let you guys know if they say anything different.

It's listed on the Tesla site under CT accessories: Tesla | Vehicle Accessories Cybertruck

Under each of the accessories, they indicate if that accessory is included with the FS.

I took delivery and they were not installed. I took in for service and they advised they were back ordered. Not sure if that meant they didn’t have them at the factory to install or they are back ordered now to the service center.

really makes you wonder what is happening in the revision such that the old ones are still OK to be sold yet they're hustling to get out a new iteration. I mean...they're D rings...my only complaint is they're a little sticky to pry up

Hmmm... That is interesting. Mine are super beefy and I see no real issue that would warrant a redesign, although I haven't tried serious loads on these yet. But as you say, it could also be cost reduction or that there is some excessive fallout rate. The only "complaint" I have with these is that they are very hard to pull up from the flat position to use. You pretty much need a screwdriver to pull them up, can't really due it with bare hands. A looser fit with a spring action return would be slick. But again, these are awesome as-is.
