OK, so let me start by saying that I love my CB. FSD latest version is awesome. and I have done over 12k miles so far, some of them on long 1500-mile round trips with FSD (mostly on)

However, attention monitoring is driving me nuts.

If I change the temperature....Pay attention....
If I change volume....pay attention...
if I change media..... pay attention...
If I look for closest coffee location on destinations..... pay attention...
If I get gum out of my center console... looking forward almost all of the time.... Pay attention...
If I sneeze ..... yep...sneeze... pay attention....
even if I am looking straight out of the front window.... I can get.... pay attention...

I then have to disengage FSD manually (and I report it) just to make sure I don't get a strike

I have cleaned the internal camera to make sure its not that.

Is this what you are all experiencing as well... seems even more sensitive since last update.... and these are all things i am doing while still being responsible looking at the road, like i would in any car....

I don't get that many warnings, and I do often adjust my route while on FSD. I don't go digging through the controls on the display, though, which is maybe a differentiator. I also wear glasses or sunglasses when driving. Maybe you get more leeway with glasses on?

BTW, you know you can set temp by voice? And volume with the left scroll wheel? So those shouldn't be a reason to look away at all.

I have been experiencing this too since the latest update. Also frustrated that the truck still won't stay centered in the lane on freeways.

I don't get many warnings and, when I do get one, it's no big deal, I just do what it's telling me to do, I start paying attention more closely.

You can thank all the Tesla haters like Dan O'Dowd who went running to his congressmen claiming Tesla's driver's aids were unsafe and didn't monitor the driver closely enough. Meanwhile, GM was bragging about how their less safe, less advanced system didn't even require you to have one hand on the wheel.

On the plus side, all that attention probably made Tesla drivers safer in the long run.

The algorithm keeps track of your average distractions over short periods of time, and interacting with a phone carries a lot more weight.

It even takes offense to you crossing your arms since it hinders your response time to grabbing the wheel. Sometimes it can be a little sensitive, but it's very sophisticated.

When it says pay attention you don't have to disengage. I just look forward and the warning stops. I haven't gotten a strike yet since fsd started on the cybertruck.

I’m with OP here. The other day I was paying full attention, but I was wearing sunglasses and a hat. I kept getting warnings every few seconds.

I understand it’s important to have “supervised” FSD for various reasons, but once Cybercab is operational “soon”, I’ll be mad if I get a warning for turning my head by 20 degrees to sneeze! ? ?

Only problem i have is when i’m trying to fuss with navigation… the trip navigation i find to be a real pita. This is really only because I’m trying to test FSD to my daily destination AROUND construction routes. The zooming in and out when I just want to see what route it Is taking in a specific rough spot is nuts.

A lot of new users don't seem to know that the zooming in/out is controlled by which map display you have selected. In the image below you can see a button in the top right of the map display. By touching that button you can cycle through four different map display modes, one mode will zoom to just the upcoming turns as they occur, other modes will show the map of your entire route. One mode is North always up, other modes the map will rotate around the screen as the vehicle direction changes.

Ok I’ll have to play with that a bit. My problem is the construction i deal with is that last 1/4 mile or so of my route. I just have to wait until construction is complete and maps are updated honestly. Only real way for me to force the correct route is with added stops for now I think. Would be nice if there was a shortcut to present alternative routes on demand.

Get flashing red band across top of screen for no reason—nothing stops it except disengage FSD. My CT won’t reboot with pressing both scroll wheels same time.

No always true. FSD kept telling me to pay attention when I was completely locked on the road with my eyes and head facing forward. I had to disengage and leave a comment.
