If you wear a hat you need tilt the brim way up to allow the camera to see your eyes or the vision monitoring green dot quickly goes away and you have to tug on the squircle.Iām with OP here. The other day I was paying full attention, but I was wearing sunglasses and a hat. I kept getting warnings every few seconds.
I understand itās important to have āsupervisedā FSD for various reasons, but once Cybercab is operational āsoonā, Iāll be mad if I get a warning for turning my head by 20 degrees to sneeze! ? ?
I have noticed, wearing sun glasses does reduce alerts. I donāt know if is because camera canāt clearly see you eye balls movement or what. If I remove sun glasses and look down at screen (without moving my head and/or reaching for screen) for 2-3 seconds, blue light alert appears. I have also noticed at night on open (unlit highway) and little or no on coming car lights, alerts are many and I have go back to steering wheel nagging. During day light hours can usually move eyes back forward to stop alert cycle. I will be making my first trip on version 13 next week, I am hoping/praying for improvements in this area of concern.I don't get that many warnings, and I do often adjust my route while on FSD. I don't go digging through the controls on the display, though, which is maybe a differentiator. I also wear glasses or sunglasses when driving. Maybe you get more leeway with glasses on?
BTW, you know you can set temp by voice? And volume with the left scroll wheel? So those shouldn't be a reason to look away at all.
You probably won't find the improvement you're hoping forI have noticed, wearing sun glasses does reduce alerts. I donāt know if is because camera canāt clearly see you eye balls movement or what. I still enjoy driving/riding on FSD, itās the best experience. I will just have to wait for another update. Coming soon to a CT in your area. ?You probably won't find the improvement you're hoping for
Yes, I probably wear sunglasses 80% of the time. But still haven't noticed many warnings when I don't wear them and using it at night.Do you frequently wear sunglasses? That's the only way I can get it to cut me some slack. I'm half tempted to use my wife's blue blocker glasses to see if it confuses the camera at night.
I have the opposite problem. I set a speed and it will go 10 UNDER the speed I set, even in hurry mode. I wish they would build an "autopilot" much like an aircraft autopilot where it just does what I tell it to, rather than trying to become a human.Version 13 is definitely more sensitive. You can't even change the song on the touch screen without the screen flashing blue.
I've also noticed in Hurry mode twice now, seemingly in 35 to 45 mph zones, where truck goes into Bat Out Of Hell Mode where it seems to think I'm a suspect being chased by police. It accelerates rapidly into areas where turns and lower speed limits are coming up requiring immediate disengagement.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I think 13 other than the above issues is better than 12. Left turns are generally better, driving is smoother, hurry mode on the freeway is great, it seems to stop for security gates now.
You are right it has gotten that sensitive since the last update. I have been very frustrated too.OK, so let me start by saying that I love my CB. FSD latest version is awesome. and I have done over 12k miles so far, some of them on long 1500-mile round trips with FSD (mostly on)
However, attention monitoring is driving me nuts.
If I change the temperature....Pay attention....
If I change volume....pay attention...
if I change media..... pay attention...
If I look for closest coffee location on destinations..... pay attention...
If I get gum out of my center console... looking forward almost all of the time.... Pay attention...
If I sneeze ..... yep...sneeze... pay attention....
even if I am looking straight out of the front window.... I can get.... pay attention...
I then have to disengage FSD manually (and I report it) just to make sure I don't get a strike
I have cleaned the internal camera to make sure its not that.
Is this what you are all experiencing as well... seems even more sensitive since last update.... and these are all things i am doing while still being responsible looking at the road, like i would in any car....
Yep! I complain about this all the time, it is stupid. They need to give more time to go through menus and adjust things. 10 seconds should be the minimum time before a warning. Is that the amount of faith they have in their system? two seconds? Because it seems like only 2 seconds before a warning and I can see the road while looking at the screen!OK, so let me start by saying that I love my CB. We all agree alerts are very cautionary but at this stage of FSD development it needs to be very cautionary, the last thing we want is accidents while using FSD.Yep! CHANGE IT ELON!!!
Yes, if donāt correct your attention by refocusing on road and/or tug on steering wheel prior to RED warning, would have to re-engage FSD. First indication is rear camera view moving off to right of screen/blue light flashing then red with alert sound. All this within 2-3 seconds.Anyone get blue band warning immediately follower by red blinking band while in CT FSD. Steering wheel tug no effect, have to disengage FSD
The bigger question is why is someone who should be hauling ass in chill mode? LolOk Iāll have to play with that a bit. My problem is the construction i deal with is that last 1/4 mile or so of my route. I just have to wait until construction is complete and maps are updated honestly. Only real way for me to force the correct route is with added stops for now I think. Would be nice if there was a shortcut to present alternative routes on demand.
